I'm doing it for you. You were wrong. On all counts. And still trying to claim that Zeke had no leverage. Ha! Jerry wasn't the only one "dug in" according to you. Lol.

I don't know that I'm wrong. I haven't seen the contract. What exactly do you think I'm wrong about?

this is a terrible deal. you never pay a running back that much. That's franchise qb money.

Fans remind me of my father-in-law at a restaurant, which is why we never take him to a restaurant. He looks at the prices and just thinks they are ridiculous because he's stuck in the past and focused on what prices used to be.

Carson Wentz's 4-year, $128 million contract shows that Zeke's 6-year, $90 million contract is not franchise QB money. You can't even get a Nick Foles (4 years/$88 million) for that amount.

Some of you really dont get it do you? Zeke signing doesnt mean we cant sign anyone else. And neither does signing the triplets. The new CBA is literally 2 years away and the cap will be increasing. Probably by a lot. You all need to stop moaning and crying. We just signed the best RB in the game and some of you are acting like we just lost out on Deion Sanders 2.0 in Byron, who we havent even lost yet.

You all need to stop saying we signed the best RB in the league, it's silly. And acting like we resigned ESmith 2.0 or Kamara 2.0.

You have no idea the effect the new CBA will have. Not the slightest. It could go up 60% it could go up the usual 3%. The CAP is ever increasing, saying the CAP is increasing as a means that we wont miss out on any players is LMAO funny, teams have to miss out on players all the time due to CAP constraints despite it increasing.

The contract was always about the details. Many of us said that before there was ever a contract so until we see the actual deal and not the macro numbers there is really nothing left to say but Zeke's guaranteed money is a lot more then I thought but 8 years is also more then I thought so lets see the details.
Which details are you waiting to see

List them and I'll try to find them for you

Woulda, coulda, but DIDN'T. The leverage was in the not wanting to take the chance. That's why it was the perfect time for Zeke's team to strike. "Bad advice" and all. More like masterful.

Agreed, but total D move too

Great deal for Zeke and the Cowboys. Anyone saying otherwise is plain dumb. Zeke is the best all round back in the league its not even close. Anyone stating otherwise is plain dumb a second time!!!!

Zeke is a very similar runner to the greatest running back ever, no other then Emmitt Smith. What did Emmitt have that Zeke has, a great young offensive line to run behind. Emmitt took his beatings running between the tackles as does Zeke. Very similar. Only difference is that today's NFL utilizes the passing game more to the RB then when Emmitt played. So what does Zeke have compared to Smith???? We know that Smith leads all-time rushing yards by a RB in NFL history with 18355 yards over his illustrious 15 year career. Zeke is heading into season 4 with already 4048 rushing yards. If Zeke can keep on contributing at his current pace for the next 3 seasons including this one, he will be on his way to breaking Smith's all-time record. Smith only averaged 1000-1200 in the last 8 years of his career between 27-35. With our offensive line I am making a prediction as I did after his first season that he will break Emmitt Smith rushing record.

The details such as the fact the new money doesnt kick in for 2 years? So essentially his new contract kicks in after the new CBA is agreed upon. Im pretty sure the owners are in the know of the increase percentage. Especially considering most the money on all the new signings doesnt start until 2 years from now. (My understanding).

The problem is that one of the arguments made to resign Elliott now was that while people agreed that TBs might see a decline as they get older, if you give Zeke his money now, he will still be like 26-27 when the bulk of the guaranteed money has already hit the cap.

But if the new money doesn't kick in and hit the cap until two years from now, you aren't seeing the bulk of the cap hits already over by 27, you are just starting to see them hit when he's 26-27.

I get the overarching logic of delaying cap hits (if that's what is happening) until the new CBA hits, but the flip side is you are now taking the cap hits in the prime years many TBs see a decline (and the Cowboys themselves argued this very point that TBs see a drop off in their later 20s and after a ton of carries a few years ago when they defended why they weren't giving Murray a huge contract offer).

I think that deal has the propensity to be an albatross of a contract like the Dez contract was.

Only a Whataburger, In n Out is not on my repertoire.
Lol, guess we’ll have to fight and whoever wins has to take the other out to their respectable establishment. Just wait my friend, just wait...like Zeke, Whataburger will be going downhill soon if it hasn’t already started. Sell outs.

There's always that risk.

I'll tell you what, I have high expectations for him now that he's been paid. Enough talking, get on the field and earn your money. Sack the quarterback! And get a sack against Lane Johnson for once!

If it really comes down to you and me getting in a physical fight, I'll just save us both the trouble and take you to In N Out. Won't change my love for Whataburger. Even if it's now Chicago owed, they are still good Americans. It's not like what happened to Budweiser being bought by Belgians. I haven't had a drink of any beer but Shiner Bock since then.

Whether I talk about it or not, the animosity is out there. Not my fault you are so ignorant of it. Not everyone loves that fool. You wish I was making threats. I'm just saying those bad feelings are still out there, not from me but from many other pissed off fans.
The only person I know of with those kinds of feelings is you.

Everyone has know that detail. That's why it's called an extension.
