I'm pretty confident that they Cowboys are interested only at a moderate cost and are just kicking the tires to see if he'd accept a modest contractual agreement. I'm not counting on anything coming from our interest, since another team is likely to offer significantly more than Dallas would be inclined to. You can't find out unless you throw your hat into the ring, however. Chances are, that's about all we're doing, imho. Some team will quite possibly overpay for his services and that's simply not our FO's inclination.

Garcon had 79 catches for 1,041 yards and 3 TDs. Terrence Williams had 44 for 594 and 4 TDs.

I'd take Garcon over Williams in a heartbeat, even at 31. He hasn't missed a game since 2012.
Especially as a #2 and the best running game in the NFL. He'd have a career year here because he'll see so much single coverage...plus him signing with us weakens Washington - who I expect to lose D-Jax this offseason.

It helps Garcon had 55 more targets too (than Williams).

Could be he was open 55 more times too.

I would take Garcon for several reasons. He is a proven veteran player, and he can still play. We need depth, as well as we have room to draft a young WR too that does not need to start right away.

Also, and this will not be popular. But Witten is getting older and we need to find his replacement as well. Witten gets those dirty yards needed to keep drives going. But how many times does he come up that one yard short, or less than a yard.
Garcon can help being that possession WR to get those 1st downs, along with Witten. Both can help keep the chains moving, as well as Beasley too.

LOL. Garcon is 5 times the WR Ginn is.

And I like Ginn. And he'll probably be cheaper, another benefit.

But cost aside, I'd take Garcon over Ginn without even blinking.
Again, why would I want a lesser version of Dez? Makes zero sense

Garçon is 5x the route runner Dez is. Yes, he's not the fastest cat, but he's been a damn good receiver. I just doubt he'll be worth the money he gets.

He also has good hands which is a bonus if we do sign him. I'm for it at the right price

I'm trying to remember the last time Garçon did anything wrong f note against Dallas since we supposedly have such a bad secondary. 2012? lol meanwhile Ginn was a number 1 wr for a super bowl team. Let's talk facts here if we gonna talk

I think Ted Ginn is a faster version of Terrance Williams. Wouldn't mind him either but garcon is definitely another saftey net for prescott. He's reliable. I'd be happy with either. Garcon has decent speed

The team likes Pierre Garcon, and Garcon says he wants to be here [Washington]. But as many as five other teams (Rams, Eagles, Bears, Cowboys, 49ers) are expected to want this reliable veteran to serve as a security blanket for their young quarterbacks.

No! No Free Agents under 28. Youth and talent or stick to the draft.
