Of the bunch, I think Melton, Selvie and Crawford are the only ones worth a damn.

We need a starting DE, starting 1T, and backups at 3T and DE still, IMO.

That's as starters. We're short on starters, but some of the guys we've got are decent role players or backups.

Even with Melton, I think we still have too. The only concession I would make is maybe a linebacker or safety in rnd 3. Our first 2 picks need to be dline. Need matching BPA

No team should ever go into a draft with the mentality that it has to pick a certain position in the first, much less the first three rounds.

In order of my preference:

Barr
Jernigan
Ford

I think Jernigan would be a great pick at 16 and I would actually consider trading up to land Barr. Ford is a trade down prospect in my eyes.

LOVE Jernigan but Barr would be too good to pass up in my opinion, we need pass rushers whether its from the line or not.

IF a trade down was possible I'd do it and get Ford or Ealy or someone and pick up a third. I think that would be a great situation for Dallas to be in.

I'll admit... I don't know much about Barr but my impression is that he is too small to play DE in the NFL. Isn't he only like 250 lbs? That is too small in my opinion but hey...

Well I was assuming he would play linebacker for us but I could be way off in thinking that's a possibility. Lee, Barr and either Carter or Holloman.

That's kinda what I was thinking so I was thrown off cause im in Dline mode right now and he just didn't fit especially since Ford is talking about DE in the NFL and he definitely is too small as well.

He could make our defense nasty. Love him if he's there at 16. Elite talent!

Yeah I've been hearing about Ford being a DE as well as a pass rushing specialist kind of player, at least at first. That's just what I've been hearing a lot. He's definitely undersized right now.

Okay we can officially add Melton to the mix. So Selvie, Crawford, Bass and Melton right now and I forget the others except Hayden.

What about Pat Sims. Does anyone know how he would fit next to Melton at the 1T? He's the best or one of the best DTs left on the market but I haven't heard him linked to anyone and I'm not sure how he fits in our system if at all. I know he had some weight problems earlier in his career but apparently he's turned that around.

I think Hayden earned a spot on the team as a backup. I wouldn't call him camp fodder.

He was 6'5 255 at the combine and can definitely still add some weight. He's a legit edge rusher, would be running to the podium if he somehow dropped to us.

He's a lot bigger than Von Miller, Barr can definitely play RE.

Team was high on Bass, I think he's going to be a significant piece if he can stay healthy.
Add Will Smith as a DE fallback, Donald and Crichton through the draft and suddenly you have a decent group. I would also be happy with any combo of Caraun Reid, Marcus Smith, DeQuan Jones, Dee Ford, Dom Easley and Jernigan.

I don't see a lot of pass rush on this list, we still need DE help.

Just don't see us going into the season with Crawford and Selvie as our edge rushers.
