It's about time he gets a chance to really prove his ability. And my guess is Glenn comes back after week 1.

And our coaches have never made a mistake on which players to cut.
If you buy that one can I talk to you about a bridge in Brooklyn?

Sucks to be our Defensive Passing Yards per Game Ranking in 2007......

By chance did you look at our rankings last year?

And we had Glenn AND Newman in there.

Not so hot huh?

For some reason I'm thinking that A. Glenn would not make much of a difference.

Thanks Aaron. Not everyone thought you were a short, no-talent bum.

I had you pegged for 44 B.

Sorry. :D

I hope she isn't offended by that.

Maybe I am reading it wrong.

Surprising cut IMO, but there will be plenty of guys available to bring in for a look at the CB position.

Sure they make mistakes.

But I think we've all seen enough of A. Glenn to realize that he's an old guy who is no longer cut out to be a starter. That being said I'd rather have a young guy that's not cut out to be a starter in there.

He did have talent... back in 1985 or whenever his "hey-day" was.

bbgun, do you always wait till Cowboy players are no longer Cowboys before you make a positive remark about them? or is this the exception?

I hope that wasn't something Freudian.

this getting rid of short Parcells' Guys named Glenn could be contagious.

cuz if you keep Ball over AG, those SEVEN receivers on the roster might mean somebody thinks something WRONG. :laugh2:

Just got home and read this. Wow. I can't believe we cut Aaron.

All I can say is that I'd heard on the radio that he looked bad in camp... And wasn't it Mickey who also said on a pregame or some DC.com podcast that Glenn hadn't played well and could be in trouble? I know he mentioned the old "cut then resign the vet" trick. Glenn might not want to do that, though.

I dunno. All I can assume is that he really wasn't playing that well. Wade's comment the other day that he is what he has been for a while, a part time player, must have been a clue as to what he thought of Glenn.

I don't mind seeing the young guys, but like most of you I do not understand keeping Nate Jones, except that maybe he offers more on special teams than Aaron (who offers pretty much nothing there).

all this muck over an average player

what is this world coming to?

?? In the Cowboys World it shows how poorly run we are...that when you cut a guy who was roomates with Joe Namath ...and you feel it...that's never a good thing....now is it?
