I hope that wasn't something Freudian.

this getting rid of short Parcells' Guys named Glenn could be contagious.

cuz if you keep Ball over AG, those SEVEN receivers on the roster might mean somebody thinks something WRONG. :laugh2:

Terry Glenn is gonna have his best year as a Cowboy.

Just got home and read this. Wow. I can't believe we cut Aaron.

All I can say is that I'd heard on the radio that he looked bad in camp... And wasn't it Mickey who also said on a pregame or some DC.com podcast that Glenn hadn't played well and could be in trouble? I know he mentioned the old "cut then resign the vet" trick. Glenn might not want to do that, though.

I dunno. All I can assume is that he really wasn't playing that well. Wade's comment the other day that he is what he has been for a while, a part time player, must have been a clue as to what he thought of Glenn.

I don't mind seeing the young guys, but like most of you I do not understand keeping Nate Jones, except that maybe he offers more on special teams than Aaron (who offers pretty much nothing there).

CL, AG played well the other night - so much so a dc.com article over crowed it.

the no upside train of thought must translate to Wade thinks AG's skill set is a particular liability in his scheme, in addition to being an aged part-timer...

I'm just happy AH can blitz well. :)

I sure hope so.

But even that won't stop it from being his last, I think.

:laugh2: btw, why is everyone suprised that we kept Nate Jones?

do we make a shaky coverage unit even shakier by cutting one of our best special teamers?

bbgun, do you always wait till Cowboy players are no longer Cowboys before you make a positive remark about them? or is this the exception?

Well, unlike you, players have to earn my praise--and very few of Jerry's recent progeny have been worthy of that honor. Ten years of front office incompetence and disappointing field performances tend to invite cynicism. You can circumvent this by being a braindead sheep or shill, in which case your expertise is second to none. Have fun, superfan. <lol>

For everyones amusment here are some of bbguns thoughts on aaron glenn

We need to steal a page from New England's playbook and employ Glenn or Price as nickel DB's late in the game during obvious passing situations. Just sub Terry for Aaron.

Glenn was burned twice in the Skins game and had the big penalty yesterday. How much worse could Terry be? Terry is fast, knows receivers' tendencies, and can get his hands on the ball. If Troy Brown can do it, why not Terry? I'm not asking him to lock up on Moss or other premiere wideouts.

I see. So you deliberately excluded the Skins game to make Glenn appear better. You're a bum.

Oh, please. He had one bad game against Andre Johnson, one of the best WRs in the league. In Week 2 and Week 4 when he started in place of Newman and did just fine. Don't act like you have any clue how he performed daily in TC.

This from a simpleton who would run over his own mother before criticizing any Cowboy player, let alone our brilliant GM. At least I have the balls to do so in hostile territory. Free advice: overpraising is just as noxious as underpraising.

Hostile territory? Finally admitting you aren't a cowboys fan nice.

Now are you going to comment on the inconsistency of your thoughts on Glenn or you just gonna skip over that and pretend it didn't happen?
