But these are not the same Cowboys. They have a totally different operating procedure. Back then they were actively trying to bring in the best talent. They've cut back on that quite a bit.

This is just silly. The team has to spend the cap money. It is not optional. So, if the cap is 250M, the owner cannot spend 200M and pocket 50M. That is not how it works. Every team has the same money to spend on players.

The problem in Dallas is that the Jones boys are incompetent. They have no plan or organizational blue print for how to build a winner.......... Jerry and his boy have been trying to crack the code for almost 30 years. Neither has any business or expertise in running the daily operations of a football team.
