The important thing is not the passing yardage...it is the interceptions/fumbles/turnovers.....Hope Dak plays like Rush by being interception and fumble free. With this defense, the offense just has to play smart and score enough to win. As Jimmy Johnson used to preach, it's not the good plays you make...it's the bad plays you don't make.
Excellent post all true

Neither are the answer, but Rush is proving, that the finger pointing, needs to go right back at Dak.

He's a huge part of the problem in Dallas. We paid him like a Lambo, and we use/drive him like a Lamborghini, problem is the lambo has a Toyota engine and the buyer was fooled.

Ok I’ll bite. What “trash” did he pad his stats on last year because he for sure didn’t pad them against the lowly Broncos.
How about the eagles when they didn't play their starters or Washington when their team was decimated with injuries just for a couple off the top of my head but I could really care less if he pads his stats.

I just want him to play smart football stop being tentative Make good decisions and use his legs when necessary to move the chains.

If Dak was playing, remember last years offense? All our games after TB would have been blow outs. I love Cooper but he is really limited in what he can do.

You said he padded his stats against trash. I’m asking what trash teams did he benefit from garbage stats?

Daks padded stats against trash his entire career. A lot of it within our own division.

Regardless… Dak is a QB that’s only as good as those around him. He doesn’t make anyone better. He’s not a carry the team kind of guy.

We have years and years of proof of this.

Andy Dalton had a higher win % than Dak when he had to start.

Cooper Rush is 4-0 in Dak’s absence.

We can find a QB to replace Dak easy and they can improve the team in the process with the extra money.

Or maybe dak would have been off target as usual and got an interception and lost the game. We've seen it over and over he doesn't win big games. Especially with a bad thumb I'm not sure he is better than Rush.

More athletic? Absolutely. But Rush has shown he's smarter and more poised in the pocket than dak is. Dak has dissapointed us time and time again. Rush hasn't. Give him a chance until he proves he sucks. Because so far he's proved to be a solid clutch QB

Rush has proven that Dak isn't needed for this team. We win without the guy and I personally prefer Rush's game to Dak's game. Rush will only get better.

I should sit down with my son tomorrow and tell him Dak ain't that guy. I don't want to break his heart but how dare he take Romo's job!!!! We win the sb that year with Tony.

This isnt last years offense though

We got worse at receiver and the OL isnt as good. Yall have to stop living in fantasy land.

in week 1 when dak did play, it was “the receivers suck!” “The OL sucks!” “kellen moore sucks!”

Now with the same team, we are supposed to believe Dak wins these games in a blow out? LOL

Currently. The defense and special teams have been so good that the Cowboys are going very conservative with the game plan. Cooper is doing enough to keep the wins coming. Would have been 12/16 without the drops and possibly a lot more points. He has delivered some critical throws throughout this run. He was not bad or pathetic-the team did not ask him to pass much. Rush is still unproven though.

When Dak gets his job back, he will not have the luxury of blaming the coaches or defense or offensive line or receivers. Obviously, the team can perform just fine with the current team assets. Just win in the big games and especially January/February. That’s how you earn the respect so many fans here want others to bestow on the QB.

Things I did notice that affected the offense. Aaron Donald is really good (sorry Tyler Smith). Tony pollard is a fantastic runner, but a liability in blitz pickups. The team made some penalties that killed drives. The Cowboys did not want to risk a turnover to the point of not calling longer developing pass plays. Tried to kill the clock by running it later in the game. Will see what happens with Philly-hope Rush gets another start for more data and more of a feel for how he responds to even more pressure.

Exactly the opposite. Rush completed exactly 10 passes today. We won bc of the D, STs, and running game.

Rush gets a ton of credit for not making any mistakes— but we need more from the QB position to win in Jan. A lot more.

Defenses are forcing him to throw outside and he doesn’t have the arm talent to do it. Dak is the better QB and hopefully he is back next week

So what is he suppose to do against competition that he can beat? Players get fat off bad teams. Not sure why people think that’s exclusive to Dak.

I agree I want to see better play and use his legs as well. Consistency for sure.

Dak fans on here are doing everything in their power to talk down Cooper. Disgusting. I love cooper and he's my QB.

We need him to do exactly what has been asked from him and run the offense they ask him to run. Today he was only asked to throw it 16 times..not his fault and if not for a couple of drops he goes 12/16 for probably 130-140 (nothing wrong with that)...so far he as done everything asked from him and is 4-0 (with a couple of game winning drives!)

I have an itching feeling that they purposely don't want him throwing 40 times a game because then Dak's seat would get hot and Jerry can't have that!!!

The Cowboys need better than Rush and Dak.

Neither guy is the answer at QB.

Eventually we're going to need the offense to step up and I don't trust either guy to do it when it matters.

At least with Rush you have the unknown. We know what we have with Dak.
Dead wrong.

IF our defense keeps this up, we’re a Super Bowl contender with EITHER of them.

NFL history is littered with average QBs who won Super Bowls with great defenses, and guess what? We have a GREAT defense.

Rush is playing damn good football.

And no matter what you Anti-Dak Cult Members think, Dak was widely considered a top-10 QB entering this season, by players, coaches and scouts.

EVEN IF you think Dak is merely “average”, guess what? Average QBs can win a Super Bowl with a great defense. Happens all the time.

They asked him to pass it 16 times. He would have completed 12 if not for 2 bad drops and they ended both drives. They have not asked much of him, so he is an unknown.
He is known. Maybe not to you

Back up QB who needs strong support, strong coaching and is asked to drive the bus and let those around him win the games. He is known to coaches and most of the league.
