Signed by Cowboys Cowboys hire Paul Guenther as defensive run game coordinator

Can you guys see it taking shape for Zimmer in 2025? If we can MM or he leaves after the year, we have Zimmer in the wings with his hand-picked staff he can leave in place essentially. Its smart.
I can't believe this theory is still breathing. No disrespect to any particular person advocating it, but the logic is obtuse.

If MM is successful, MM will remain the HC. No?

If MM is unsuccessful, the entire coaching staff will be regarded as unsuccessful... the call for new blood will be loud.

Old Mike Zimmer is not Young Jason Garrett, folks. Please stop the nonsense.

we wont know til we know.

Guenther took over in Cincinnati after Zimmer left and continued to run aspects of his scheme. I’m thrilled about this. The continuity on the defensive side is good. All I ask is that Al Harris buy in as well. If he does this defense will be something else.

I want MM to be here and win games btw. If he does, I think the staff will remain intact as is. Thats fine too.

Nobody runs on this man.

Im concerned about that too. AL has to be all in, no pun intended. DQ is gone. He must or the players will start dividing the locker-room.

True.

But the nature of a discussion board, of course, is to discuss theories.

This is a theory.

This is a theory that is inherently weak for the potent reasons asserted.

Weak theories shouldn't breathe like this weak theory seems to be breathing. Imo.

I agree.

i also look for them to bring a few of their guys in to implement the scheme (Kendrick’s, Harrison Smith etc)

just looking at the hires, we are wanting to get back to fundamentals of the game. We sorely need it.

says you. Lets wait and see before casting stones . I respect your take, I expect the same.

I respect you.

I don't necessarily respect all your takes. :) Nor do I expect you to respect all of mine... though you really should, of course. :D

But I repeat, I do respect you.

i dont know if the NFL will allow such a powerhouse of coaches. im calling BS on this, this is like GI Joe, no one has every assembled a team of leaders this great before. Not one flaw in this coaching tree, not 1. I think Godell will come down on us. Its unfair to the rest of the league.
