I am not the type that wants to throw big money at players, but I recall multiple games last season where Zeke was hitting the smelling salts after some big hits. The dude puts it all on the field and plays hard. He is completely justified in wanting to get paid for the effort he gives and the punishment he takes. Pay him or move to a 2-back offense where the punishment is being shared by multiple backs.
He's in line to get paid 12 mil over the next 2 years. He is getting paid.

The Ticket just mentioned that Dallas offered Zeke a deal similar to Leveon Bell's deal, and that Zeke said he won't play this year without a new deal.

That deal will get done.
you missed th part where guaranteed money wasn't close to bells

One season. And ancient Farve threw that season away on the worst decision I've ever seen. They had New Orleans beaten. That looked pretty good, didn't you think? They were the best team in the NFC until Farve went brain dead for a moment.

Now, who else?

Christian Ponder? Tavaris Jackson? Gus Frerotte? Youngling Teddy Bridgewater?
First of all, by your original comment your implying that Dak is better than all of those QB’s. I would take Favre and Bridgewater (when he played with AP) over Dak.

Funny you knock Favre the year he went on the playoff run when many of his stats were better than Daks that year. Who cares if it was one year, you asked me a question and I answered it, you didn’t make a stipulation on how many years AP had a good QB.

Even so, take AP put of the equation. How did all the other Super Bowl winners over the past 25 years manage to win without having the highest paid RB in the league on their roster and the league leading rusher? I know it’s mind blowing for some of you to accept that RB’s aren’t as important as they think they are,
especially when a team has a top 5-10 O line, but history and Super Bowl winners say otherwise.

It's not yours or my call to decide if 12mil over 2 years is enough now is it.
Then why are you here on this board discussing it? And you clicked on a thread that indicated clearly that this thread was about salary.

If you don't want to discuss a topic, why in the world did you click on the thread? Your post makes zero sense.

3-5 to start the season in 2018 with Zeke. What happened?
I saw Dak needing more #1s to help him, was zeke alone? 3-5 is on zeke now it was more on Dak he wants 35 right you see the first 8 games last year, 35? really? zeke ran behind the same line first 8 final 8 and won the rushing title..what did dak win? he got a shiny new toy to help him..:p) zeke wants 14-17 dak wants 35 who is worth it?

It makes perfect sense. You decided that his current contract was sufficient. He obviously disagrees and the Cowboys are clearly offering him more money than 2yrs 12mil.

Bell was on the open market.

Zeke's is guaranteed if he just stays off the police blotter.

you stated the same, not the same, as guaranteed money and fine print are VERY Important in contracts.. BTW if these alleged top 5 deals were offered to all 3 , how in the world is that NOT enough for Dak and Amari who are ranked outside the top 10 at their positions, they should have jumped all over this..what happened?? latest statements from SJ they arent even close, someone is fibbing I'm guess its the media reports we debate and argue over are false, missing tons of details..

That wasn't the question. It was about him "getting paid".

However, you are stating the discussion should not be allowed. How did you come to that conclusion? And why in the world would you even say that on a message board? This is weird, dude.

I would beg to differ,Zeke is the best RB in the league. There isnt a RB close who can get you the tough yards and also be a good pass catcher and he is the best blocking RB too.look at some of the RBs drafted in the 1st rd,Zeke is so much better than them.

Le'veon Bell was one of the best running backs in the league at one time to. He also threatened to hold out for a season and the Steelers tried to trade him a few games into the holdout. Didn't work out to well for them and they were only seeking a 2nd rounder (2 time all-pro in 3 seasons before the holdout, including the year before the holdout (2017))... What could go wrong?

All of these do not feature a highly paid RB.

falcons packers missed the playoffs, we beat the saints and took back the division from the eagles, this was with zeke :) also not one of the teams with the 28 plus QB made the playoffs last year maybe with better RB they do? NEXT...

So that would mean that the Cowboys have offered Dak, over 30 mil annually, over 8 mil annually to Zeke and 16.5 to Cooper.
Yeah, but as we all know, the devil is in the details, or more specifically, the devil is in the guarantees.

Teams are getting tired of players who want max contracts. Those players are quite simply seldom worth much in trade.
