Brent must be closed to gettin gout of jail, and Stephen is justgetting ready to announce his return.....

As far as a suspension, how many here would be surprised if Brent gets a lesser suspension than Josh Gordon or the LB from Arizona for smoking marijuana?

RKG does not mean angel. Brent had a lapse in judgement, whether I agree with him coming back or not, that unfortunately led to someone dying. He has paid the price that the justice system felt he needed to pay, not to mention the psychological scars he has after killing a friend. Beyond on the one incident he was a "model" citizen.

Just wish we'd be consistent with this whole RKG thing. We passed on some good players because of character concerns. Imagine if we had Vontaze Burflict and Janoris Jenkins (and an extra 1st round pick since we would have passed on Claiborne).

Not sure they aren't being consistent. There can be a big difference in character concerns from player to player. If the feedback you get is that he's a good, hardworking player who has made mistake, you might accept that over feedback that a player is a major risk or a true problem child.

How many people think this is news? Looks to me Stephen is just reiterating what was stated immediately after Brent retired and after the trial. They're going to work with the League and go from there.

Yeah. They've been pretty consistent since 2012 when this incident occurred.

If he was racking up 10-15 sacks a year, I would agree, he is a JAG.

which magnifies my point...desperate times call for desperate measures. this guy isn't a world beater. 30 other teams around the league would have told him to beat it.

The Cowboys are so depleted defensively they seem open to bringing back anyone at this point. I heard Garrett talking about Chad Hennings the other day he may be receiving a phone call pretty soon.

Um, seriously? Just because the guy drank and drive, you are saying he is not an RKG? He made a bad decision. That's no where close to being the same thing as having poor character. Granted, guys with poor character tend to make bad decision's, but RKG's make bad decisions too...especially when they are young.

This would mean the addition of 11 defensive linemen during the offseason that didn't play last year.

Melton, Mincey, McClain, Spencer, Crawford, Lawrence, Bass, Wagner, Bishop, Okoye, and Brent.

Add Selvie and Hayden.

There's others that are just camp bodies, except perhaps for Coleman and Whaley.

Well, let's be honest, Brent has had serious drinking issues dating back to college, and he was busted with drugs AFTER this accident.

i called it a year ago on here. like me.

I have no problem with this whatsoever.

It was a terrible situation.

But from the teammates to ownership,

from the relatives who have been forgiving and supportive to him still having his career..

I douibt the team will have a stronger player as far as his commitment to help the team again.

I hope it all works out.

Life is a test.

The test is to do your best each day and stack it high.

Welcome, back, Josh.
