Another thing to note is that Beasley doesn't play a lot of snaps in a row.
He gets a catch then heads to sidelines for a couple plays then is back in.

As for CB's, I don't see us drafting another. Last year we went into the season with 3 vets and 1 rookie on the roster. Now we have 3 vets and 2 rookies. If we add another DB, it may be a safety, but ...

Heath and Frazer are true safeties
Scandrick, Carroll, and Brown are true CBs
Jones and Awuzie can both play S and CB

We have lots of flexibility and better depth already, and with all the CBs drafted this year, we are more likely to add another vet during cut downs, and let's not forget Blanton-S, McFadden-CB, and another S and 3 CBs on our Future/reserve list. There's just no reason to take more CBs than you can carry on your roster.

Would've rather seen a lber but I can't complain. They must have a plan for him. Been a real good draft.

Think this is a Lucky replacement/upgrade who can actually handle Beasley's back up role as well.
Not a bad draft pick in this area. He's 90% of the player Christian McCaffrey is we got him for late 4th rounder.
Not exciting but good solid pick.

Draft really came together well IMHO.
so 90% of a top 10 pick is late 4th rounder? Jerry, is that you?

Lucky's luck just ran out. Jet sweeped right out of Dallas.
This is what happens when you don't produce heavily within 3 years. Switzer looks good on highlight film, he'll be a good return guy, and a VERY good slot guy if they go that direction.

As a die-hard Carolina fan, I've watched almost every snap in his career in Chapel Hill.

I don't know if I like the value considering where he was picked, but the kid is absolutely better than Lucky Whitehead.

He has a knack for fielding and returning punts that, in my opinion, is hard to find. Some of the negative scouting reports about his straight-line speed and hands are off in my opinion. The kid is fast on the football field and very quick. I had the feeling that he could take it to the house everytime he touched the ball.

He had 8 Punt Return TD's and had many many more called back in his career at Carolina. He absolutely tore up Florida State this year with 14 catches for over 150 yards. They had no answer for him.

He is a matchup nightmare and has never been concerned with his size because he straight up make plays.

With that being said, look at what the Patriots do. Line up a bunch of quick white guys and flip it to them on short routes. Nobody can stop it. Of course they have that guy named Brady but you get what I'm saying. Maybe it's a blueprint that could bring us success.
