He quit temporarily. Are we really hating on Beasely here?
Not hating on Beasley but my point was Switzer isn't a Beasley clone. He is much more talented then Beasley and is not to put him down. Wish people stop the silly comparisons and when they see Switzer making plays they will see

Oh OK I scrolled back through the thread. I get what you are saying. Yeah, Switzer is gonna be great for us. He can LEARN from Beasley how to be Beasley 2.0.+

I don't get the hate the pick is getting. Imagine having Beasley and Switzer out there in some packages. Defenses won't be able to cover both. Dez and Terrance and Cole & Ryan. And we could still pass to the TE or the RB. That's gonna make DC's dizzy.

Agreed. First, I thought Beasley had some issues back home he had to sort out before he could concentrate on football, which explains his brief departure.

Second, the Cowboys haven't had a difference maker on returns in...forever. Maybe Dwayne Harris? Switzer can be instant field position.

This guy is just ridiculous. His hands are incredible and he gets that Cole Beasley separation.

Right our offense just took the next step. Let Beasley be Beasley and Switzer be Switzer. It's OK to allow them to be great in their own way. I'm really excited what we can do and Switzer gives us a legitimate return man

He wasn't on my list, but his highlights sure look good. If Beasley is heathy, the Cowboys will need to be very creative in getting Switzer on the field. Beasley is two years away from 30, I believe, and time will tell if his body is built for a long career.

Beasley has gone from a real nice surprise as a undrafted free agent to a real key contributor to our offense last year. Lucky wouldn't be able to fill in if Beasley got hurt. I am sure Switzer will fill in the Lucky snaps and probably provide more options than the jet sweep. I like the pick but time will tell how he adapts to the pro game and how they get him on the field.

when your D is pathetic a punt returner is not a priority. And with the way they are trying to basically get rid of kickoff returns its just a matter of time before there are none. So a guy who can be a slot WR and return punts is a good combo when you aree hoping your D will improve to the point where they actually force punts.

Switzer probably gets Whitehead's and Dunbar's (as a slot receiver) snaps in the offense in addition to returning punts and kickoffs.

Hit the nail on the head. He lined up on the outside a lot of times for us and was able to make monster plays. What I love about him the most is his hands. The guy doesn't drop anything!

Yep. I was really floored when I read some comments about him having below average hands.

He is an "attention to detail" kind of player and really has made some great catches in college.

I hope more people doubt him. He always plays with that smirk on his face and really is a gamer that likes to prove people wrong.

Wasn't my first choice at wr, but it's plain to see he offers a lot for this team

I think he's better than Beasley. He's much better than him coming out of college. But I'd love to see Switzer and Beasley lineup together. Dak will have fun next season.
