2013 he fumbled 4 times this past season 0 fumbles. On a 1 or 2 year deal at low price I would be interested.

When did he tear his MCL/ACL? Just wondering how long he has been rehabbing.

I like Ridley alot, he shouldnt be very expensive.

This is actually a bit intriguing to me too.

He always did a solid job in New England, and his fumbling issues are overblown a bit. He's never had as many as Murray did his past season and he seemed to be doing a better job of limiting them.

Coming off of an ACL injury, he's likely to come very cheap, trying to rebuild his value and he just turned 26 years old.

Ridley has nine fumbles on his 672 touches during the regular season. When you add in his postseason touches, he has 11 fumbles on 730 touches. At one point, Bill Belichick made Ridley inactive because of his fumbling problems.

Belichick's sitting Ridley down and focusing on fixing his fumbling problems did appear to have an impact. He had one fumble during the preseason before 2014, but through six games in 2014, he didn't lose the ball.

I would much rather CJ Spiller. Ridley is like a 3rd tier RB IMO.

Ridley is one of the few I think is at least worth kicking the tires on. Even then, I'd be hesitant.
His running style and skill-set matches fairly well though.
Still, the injury is an issue too

I'm not surprised they would be interested in this guy. As I recall, the debated drafting him instead of Murray and Ridley had a pre-draft visit.

New England wanted Murray but Dallas drafted him like two picks ahead of New England who settled for Ridley. Murray even said he thought he was going to New England because they were calling him before Dallas drafted him.

Yeah, both teams probably thought they were about comparable talents. Luckily, Dallas went with the right guy.

He had 0 last season because he was out with the ACL/MCL. He only played in 6 games and yes, the fans in this area were more than happy to go with Gray, Vereen, Bolden and Blount.

I would as well....but it seems that Dallas is not wanting a small speed back. They want a yards after contact type of guy.

This tells us a lot about what they are looking for.
Now my question for all of the draft nerds in this place....which college back translates best to a yards after contact workhorse type of back?

as I said on a low end contract I would have no issue while still expecting the Cowboys to draft a RB

I think they are just scrambling to find a named player to put back there in case something goes wrong in the draft. Spiller may not be interested in Dallas. Who knows.

1 fumble per 72 rushes in 2011-2013, yet 0 in 94 rushes in 2014. Maybe he had improved his ball security during the offseason.

Or Spiller's price tag is too high. He reportedly turned down 4.5 mil per from the Bills.

I think Spiller and Ridley are completely 2 different backs, believe Ridley would fit better in what we want our backs to do IMHO.
