I don't know if he's any better, but I'd hazard a guess he's at least equivalent to Heath, so we technically didn't lose a starter there.

I think it depends. I think as it currently stands he could be a candidate to get signed like Anthony Brown did or like Heath has been for all these years. That's if Woods doesn't get outpriced. I'm not sure how he can when his position hasn't even been defined yet. Woods is definitely more physical than Clinton-Dix is though.

As I mentioned, a wait-and-see approach.

Heath is not a better player...Hence Dix is getting paid more.

Basically we are getting more turnovers, and a much better tackler but a downgrade on ST.
He is known as a terrible tackler who takes terrible angles.

This might be the first amount of negativity I've heard ablut him here. I feel that most Zoners who speak his name think decently about his skill.

If they do, they have not watched him play. The guy avoids contact like Americans are avoiding shaking hands today. you know his jersey number because he is always the guy chasing the receiver. And if the weather gets cold, you can guarantee he is going to be practicing his Ole' technique. . I watched this guy since he was drafted. Go back and watch the SEattle Championship game. One of the plays that cost the Packers was his vapor lock reaction to a floater from Wilson from across teh field that allowed a 2 pt conversion. HaHA is a great name because he says that every time he collects a check.

4 teams in 2 years.

Get a grip.

We need bodies. He’s an experienced player.
Lol not that hard to see when you take a little deeper of a look lmao. First of all Safeties have a wierd market, so him being traded from GB to Wash in his contract year has more to do with wanting to pay a FS than his ability and play.

You blame him for not resigning in Washington?

The Bears have a tough cap situation and already have a S under contract for big money. They spent their money on another player who’s been on 4 players in 3 years, doesn’t mean Quinn isn’t impactful.

Haha isn’t gonna change the face of our D but he’s def an upgrade at S

Ok? Someone tell me how to feel about this.
Simple:

If last year taught us Cowboys fans anything, it should have been that talent only get you so far...and not very far, when it really counts.

The real question is did the Cowboys front office finally bring in a staff that can teach these kids to play sound and smart football. If they did, whatever supposed drop off in talent that has existed with Ha Ha up to this point, won't be that big of an issue going forward.

Emotions sorted.

Your welcome!

...who's now played for 4 teams in 6 years and nobody really wants.
  1. Drafted in 1st round - sure "wanted" then
  2. Traded in 5th year of his deal - Washington sure "wanted" him
  3. Signed by the Bears last year - Also indicating they "wanted" him
  4. Signed by Dallas and his former coach, who clearly "wants" him

go watch his tape, that's all I can tell you, the guy hates contact, also takes bad angles like Heath, miss tackles, he may have a little more range.
He’s almost a pure FS so yes the downhill more “SS” skills are his issues, he isn’t a perfect player. But I guarantee you those 2-4 plays X didn’t make get made. You can go into the draft and find a downhill type guy unless this coaching staff has a more interchangeable Safeties scheme.

And why is that?

What's "sad" is your assessment skills here.

Apparently, you don't even know that Clinton-Dix isn't even Heath's on-field replacement yet?
He's Xavier Woods' replacement. Woods is Heath's replacement. What's your point?

Kurt Warner was undrafted. Tony Romo was undrafted. Cliff Harris, Drew Pearson, Nate Newton, Jason Peters, Antonio Gates, Wes Welker, Priest Holmes, Cameron Wake, James Harrison, John Randle, Arian Foster, Warren Moon.....all undrafted.

Otherwise, great point. LOL

Cheap 1 year prove it deal. I love it. He’s an above average SS. Was a pro bowler in 2016 I believe

he had a cheap one year prove it deal with Chicago last year. He proved he still could care less and was horrible with them. Bears fans were saying how he was a big upgrade over Adrian Amos. By the end of the year, they wanted Amos back

Good players don't get passed around like an ugly sweater.

He was gawd awful in Chicago last year. He's a headcase.
