:starspin I agree with you, we "shouldn't" let Pacman influence our drafting, however, whether or not Jerry Jones sees it that same way "may" be something different. Personally, Pacman is a risk no matter what abilities he may bring to the table, and I hope that we do not allow him being a Cowboy impact our draft picks. While he may have the physical skills to help us out, I'm not convinced that he still won't end up in some kind of trouble, and that's why I hope that our draft picks will not be influenced by him on draft day.

The good news is that we're virtually bringing in all the top CBs to Valley Ranch from this Draft class as part of the evaluation process.

It could be a bluff, of course, but when you're bringing in so many of them, I have to think it's a priority.

This has been talked about in the thread called "More PacMan Rumors" also..

Pacman alone wont bring a Super Bowl this year because hes not guaranteed to play this year but hes a very good talent and only 24 years old.

And ona side note, if Jerry gets this done, I dont think this is his WOW player hes talking about even.

:starspin I see it the same way in terms of CB being a priority for us.

This would be a very good move imo. Best of all, it would eliminate our immediate need to draft a high CB this year.

And with the conjoining rumors of the Chad Johnson/Anquan Boldin/Roy Williams to Dallas burning up the air ways, could there be truth them also? Suddenly if both happen taking both WR and CB off the board and leaving our 2 picks open to go after McFadden if we want to?

Everybody keeps saying 1 player isn't what we need to make it to the super bowl, that we're still more away than just that. But, bam, right there, 3 players instead. In my novice opinion, that though would do it. And Jerry would be a genius.

Please dont put this guy on our team. We have a great team, A great group of guys. Please dont make us root for this guy.

The crowds at the stadium have been great the last 3 years because it is a team worth rooting for, please dont ruin that with this guy.

Cry me a river, dude.

I am sure Jerra would give you dispensation to not root for his guy. Or his team.

It pains me to see that some like you think the Cowboys must be Boy Scouts to succeed in the NFL.
Well, welcome to the real world.

Go Pac-Man!
Go Jerra!
Go Cowboys!

It won't eliminate anything. We still need to go CB in the 1st round. There is still nothing behind TNew and Henry. Adding Pacman would only eliminate the need to find two CB's this draft.

They dont have to be boy scouts, I just would prefer not to root for men who dont have some strange association and may have played a role in another man being paralayzed.

Call me crazy, but I dont want to root for criminals.

Even if we get PacMan I still think we should take the best corner on the board at #22.

It's not worth it still to trade up for McFadden imo, Barber is more than enough all we need is a decent back up, plus it's not really that smart to burn a lot of money on a RB in the top 5 IMO cap wise.(especially when you already have a Pro Bowl RB)

giants won the superbowl with a bunch of scrubs at cb against one of the greatest offenses ever. we need mcfadden(a true starting rb) just look at the history of the boys winning superbowls with great running backs. barber isn't great and will never be great.

In my view it would depend on who is on the board at the time. Dallas still needs a CB,WR and RB and I would take the highest rated player at any of those position with the 1st pick regardless of getting Pacman or not.

I gave up long ago on pretending this is a gentleman's game.
You don't think little Danny would take Pac-Man if he could?
Or Man Boobs . . . well, he might not, but his time as a coach has passed. Or that cheatin' guy in New England? Or Lurie in Philly? Get real.

OK, Crazy, you don't have to root for criminals (hey, where the presumption of innocence go???:laugh2: )

You only have to root for NFL players.:)

We should do things the way Dan Snyder does?

Why?

Then don't root for him.

I want to win. If PacMan inproves our chances, I am all for it. The team of the 90's wasn't saintly. This team doesn't have to be either.

everybody(non mcfadden supporters) acts like this is the only shot to draft a cb and has to be in round 1. who would contribute more to next years team?

A: Darren McFadden
B: rookie cb
C: rookie rb

i'll take choice A

No we don't.

And I don't buy that "look at the history of the boys winning superbowls with great running backs" thoery one bit. MB3 plus another solid back out of this draft is more then enough to win another super bowl.

You don't spend first round draft picks on players solely based on who can contribute more next year.
