The only way they can sell this is if he is hands off on the offense and brings in an OC/line coach from the mcvay shannahan tree. AND a great DC hire.

The Dallas Cowboys are set to interview Brian Schottenheimer for their head coach position.

Keep in mind that no other team looking for a head coach this cycle has reported any level of interest in Schottenheimer.

But the Cowboys are totally running a serious search. For real.

-

Confirmation that this is a serious search.

Even if you are right and it's Jerry being Jerry, I just want to know where the hell are his kids? Do they have zero influence over him? Why are they not stepping in? I know he speaks highly of Charlotte, where is she? The whole family is useless.
They can't do anything to him that he doesn't consent to. In fact, knowing him, if they push him any he might just hold on tighter.

See if you agree with this, I always felt like Mike was more of a Stephen hire. That first PC, Stephen was the one who seemed closer to him, happier, did more talking, etc. Plus the reports that Jerry didn't warm up to Mike until he'd been here a couple of years.

It seems to me like Jerry has decided he'd make the decisions again. You had the crazy Lance trade where he doesn't even tell his coach, the Zeke signing, and the Mingo trade. Jerry took over this past training camp PC like he hasn't in years. Feels to me like he's taken some things back from Stephen. Maybe that's where the old age kicks in, he doesn't want to go out not doing things totally his way.

He would be a sacrificial lamb. Completely expendable. And confirmation, not that we needed any, that they plan to sit on their hands and do nothing significant in the off-season. Combined with a difficult schedule, and the impending losses via free agency, we are looking at a bigger fiasco than the one we just witnessed.

He thinks someone was hired to be the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys that wasn't really Jerry's preference.

That world doesn't exist. Stephen is a secretary. Nothing more.

A monumental day: Top target Aaron Glenn visits the Jets & the goal is to keep him from leaving the building, sources say.

The deal isn’t done & there are still some particulars to discuss. But if all goes well, he could end today as HC of the NYJ. If not, the Saints await.

Rappoport

What are we doing ? !

Jerry will give Schotty a 3 yr deal that coincides with how long we have to keep Dak, and let him wear the big headset until Witten takes over.

All of media should be calling out this FO. I'd respect it a bit more if they just said I'm only concerned with how much money we make. But parading around like it's a concern when it clearly isnt is disgusting.

Jerry is top dog for sure, but he can delegate if he wants to. Seems to me like he did that with Mike and he's not going to do that again.
