I feel at this point Seastrunk is a better option.

I have little faith in him either. I think he's a one trick pony who runs fast but cant handle any of the passing game aspects of the position. The Cowboys have so little faith in him handling it that they had Clutts handling 3rd down stuff.

Thanks for finally noticing the dire situation SJ and JJ.....

This reads to me that you are implying that SJ also feels the situation is dire. I don't get that feeling from him at all from his comments. I get the usual "keeping our options open" vibe that he has about pretty much all positions. Wanting to get a young back in the draft is not unusual for any team.

I was skeptical when they signed him, and disappointed when he once again came up lame during OTA's. And now that he's injured before camp even got underway? I'm done.

I disregard anything Davis says. He was the same guy who criticized Murray last year when he was a Cowboy. Said he runs to darkness and left a lot of yards on the field. The minute he leaves Dallas, he's irreplaceable.

His agenda in this regard is clear.

I'm not giving up on McFadden as of yet. As for Davis I have no issue with him one way or the other but in his comment I fully agree because I have watched it over the years. RB who are impatient and run up the back of blockers not allowing blocks to be set up or cutting back too soon. Julius Jones was great at that, not allowing the blocks to take place and trying to do too much. When he would break it he could take it to the house but that is 1 run, 1 series within the game, my concern is consistency not the guy who hit 1 big run in the game and the rest of the day can't do jack

Me neither.
I see no evidence that they think it's dire.
Randle has been fine so far.
McFadden had a hammy tweak and they want him right before he's out there
And if they do have depth issues, RB depth is very easy to find

I would be bringing someone else in. And I would cut him if he missed another practice after his supposed return on Saturday. This team can't go into this season relying on a guy like that. If they do, they risk a possible championship season being derailed.

I won't dispute any of that. I just don't give any credence to anything coming out of that hypocrite's mouth.

How many reports do there need to be confirming as of this writing the boys have no interest in CJ? Archer/Smith as well as the report from FW star back in May? He was brought in and the cowboys had no interest? I am pretty sure these have all been posted in the CJ agent reached out to cowboys thread....

They may have no interest right now. Which makes sense if they are satisfied with the RB depth chart going into week 1 vs NYG. As I said, that can change in a few weeks if McFadden Is still struggling to get/stay healthy. Again, we're weeks away from that being a real possibility.

It doesn't seem very easy for us.

Yes but SJ changed his stance on veterans available. Last week he was talking about Chris Johnson and other backs who have been productive in the past being available for a reason and how much he loves what we have on this team. He also was saying they didn't draft a back because they didn't see an upgrade over what we have. Now he says he felt they missed out on the draft, that there are backs available with gas left in the tank, and how people are upset with Mcafadden not playing.

His comments are a huge swing in mentality in just one week of camp. That's concerning.

I've been saying we need to trade for Christine Michael. He's a young, powerful back with many years left on him and would excel in our offense behind this O-Line.

At this point we should be seeing what Seahawks want for Michael, what Dolphins want for Miller; if they want something ridiculous, you see how Johnson and Moreno look. Even if we did get either Miller or Michael, I'd still bring in Johnson and Moreno for a workout. None of the guys we currently have look to be the answer.

Dunbar, DMAC, and Williams were all on the roster then and all healthy...

So you wouldn't have drafted someone over them 3? Idc if they were healthy. Could have snagged a rookie early. Chaz green could have been a rb

just my two cents but I think the rb situation in dallas is a disaster right now if it don't get fixed things wont go well either.

True I just don't think CJ2K is who they will bring in. Personally I think they are waiting for a younger vet to be released.

Miller is going nowhere....all reports coming from Dolphins camp is Ajayi is flat out stinking right now and currently is 3rd on the depth chart ...as for Michael I am in the camp of what has he done in Seattle to merit a trade? Nothing...absolutely nothing.

50-50 chance (maybe higher) that guy doesn't even make his team.
What would you trade?
