Cowboys to leave door open for a FA RB?

Miller is going nowhere....all reports coming from Dolphins camp is Ajayi is flat out stinking right now and currently is 3rd on the depth chart ...as for Michael I am in the camp of what has he done in Seattle to merit a trade? Nothing...absolutely nothing.

No one is saying give up a high pick for Michael, they are saying give up a reasonable pick for him because he fits our offensive scheme. And what has he done in Seattle? There is a reason Seattle drafted him, he's a Byron Jones of the RB position. What exactly can he do when he's behind a bellcow like Lynch?

And again, I'd still bring in a veteran like Johnson or Moreno even if we did get Michael because our RBs are ****.

50-50 chance (maybe higher) that guy doesn't even make his team.
What would you trade?

Where have you read this at? Even with Lynch and Turbin, Michael is a luxury on that team. He was a second round pick. Seattle just has something we don't; good RB depth.

Those of you on the edge of the cliff; what has Randle done so far this preseason that makes you think he's so bad?

Don't get me wrong, I question that he can handle 250-275 carries, but only because I haven't seen it yet.

Most say he looks better, not worse, than they expected.

Yes but SJ changed his stance on veterans available. Last week he was talking about Chris Johnson and other backs who have been productive in the past being available for a reason and how much he loves what we have on this team. He also was saying they didn't draft a back because they didn't see an upgrade over what we have. Now he says he felt they missed out on the draft, that there are backs available with gas left in the tank, and how people are upset with Mcafadden not playing.

His comments are a huge swing in mentality in just one week of camp. That's concerning.

I'm glad someone else see it. I just hope that the light has finally come on for him and now he will do something about it.

He couldn't even beat the bellcow Turbin either...

At this point we should be seeing what Seahawks want for Michael, what Dolphins want for Miller; if they want something ridiculous, you see how Johnson and Moreno look. Even if we did get either Miller or Michael, I'd still bring in Johnson and Moreno for a workout. None of the guys we currently have look to be the answer.

Moreno isn't playing this year due to his knee still not being healed.

Several threads have been posted in the CJ2K thread...the cowboys dont have any interest in him ....Moreno? might as well keep DMAC he may play in one more game than Moreno..

Seriously! If it's "easy", why does it continue to elude us?
Because you and some others consider it something they need to do immediately and they, obviously, do not....though injuries could change that, as always.

I don't see anyone questioning Randle. For myself, I still question his pass protection which has been untested to this point. I think he can do it but would feel better seeing it consistently.

And as a fan you assume that their approach is right. My fandom does not require me to do that.

I think they're wrong, and so far, all reports are indicating that they are.

By the middle of the preseason games, the market is going to be full of backup level running backs.

We were discussing whether or not they could find a backup if they wanted. I said if they wanted they could and it'd be easy. We know of several already that'd love to be here if wanted to go them.

That's not the same at all as saying I agree with their plan.

You changed this up. And then you kind of insulted me by alluding g that I some blind homer.
Come on, Stash.

Here's your quote:

"Because you and some others consider it something they need to do immediately and they, obviously, do not....though injuries could change that, as always."

That sure implies that you trust in what they're doing. If that's not what you intended, you should have worded things differently.

Because Turbin is a pretty good RB as well and Seattle likes him. Again, they just have a top 3 RB starting for them along with good depth. They have luxury at the RB position, and seeing as how their offense is built around running the ball, they value it. I wish the Cowboys took that approach.
