No need to trade up. We need picks

This stuff cracks me up.

If the cost is a 6th rounder are you really that broken up? I never understand the logic "we need picks" when you are talking about 5th, 6th and 7th rounders. They are like 95% likely to bust than be anything of value.

This is the same thing that happened with EE. Everyone (people who didnt want EE in the first place, mind you) is saying we could have gotten Zeke with that trade back. Who says someone doesn't trade right before us to pick him up. Get the players you want and don't play games and stop being cute.

And yet, you still don't have an explanation for the next 21 years after 1995 when Jerry had all the control.

Unless your name is Rip Van Winkle and you just woke up from a long slumber since 1995.

I already answered the question earlier.

Uncharted territory for a team to go from dynasty to old/expensive in the salary cap era. Also, I acknowledged they have made a ton of mistakes.

But to say he gets no credit for putting together our 2007 team, which many think was the most talented in the league... Is also ignorant. How is he good enough to put that team together but incompetent otherwise?

All over Spence at 32 or 34.

Yes, he's had a drug issue but apparently he's been passing every test given to him and he's even been tested on his own and apparently sent the results to all the NFL teams.

He's a first round pass rusher who is probably the best pure pass rusher in the entire draft. I go him or a DT or CB at 32/34.

How about keep #34, trade next years 1st, Leary and pick 101 for #32. Gives us two of the top 3 picks of round two.

One, to try to blame the last 20+ years (20 FREAKING YEARS) on trying to rebuild an aging dynasty is laughable. Shouldn't take 20+ years to do that.

And great, since 1995, he's put together exactly one team - 2007 - that was considered an elite team. 21 or so seasons, one really uber talented team.

Even the sun shines on a dog's *** sometimes.

Calm down everybody and step away from the ledge [keyboard] and take a deep breath. Nothing has happened yet. Go spend some time with your family or get back to work. The draft doesn't pick back up until 7 eastern. Everybody just needs to chill out.

We don't have a 5th. If it is a 6th I could live with it but I doubt it. 4th rounders don't have to be scrubs. There are 4th rounders that can play.

I think it is hilarious that some posters are hand wringing and trashing this attempt to move up without even knowing the details of the potential trade. Let it play out and then criticize accordingly.
