This is an example of the cracks that will form this week in Moore's hold on the #2 spot. It has begun and the heat will just increase. More and more people will come forward with what is painfully obvious. Moore isn't an NFL QB and Rush is. You cannot lose Rush the way you lost Matt Moore and you need Moore's roster spot for Noah Brown, Rico Gathers, Lewis Neal, or so,e other young player too good to let go. Kellen Moore will not be signed by anyone if he is cut. He can come back as a coach and be there if needed at some point. This all just makes too much sense not to happen. I'm confident they will get it right this time.

Rush has a shot at being able to play in the league. But Noah Brown is not a player you hold a roster spot for. You can find a Noah Brown on any practice squad in the league.

If there is one spot and it comes down to Rush, Gathers or Noah Brown, I'm cutting Brown and not thinking twice about it.

Not so fast there. They can keep Noah and Rico, but not Rush. They need to keep Rush over Moore, but they won't keep 3 QB's and risk losing Noah and Rico. 2 of the 3 will make it, and IMO the odd man out is Rush.

So will the other 32 teams really think Rush is better than their back up, unless a team has the luxury to keep a 3rd team UDFA rookie QB?

Well we tried to sneak Matt Moore to the PS and he wasn't even playing as well as Rush. I feel like we could have avoided a lot of Brad Johnson, Kitna, Orton, Weeden, Cassell, and Kellen Moore frustration if we had kept Matt Moore.

They better make sure to have a spot on the 53 for Rush, that's for sure.

No way do you try to put him through waivers....it is WAY too hard to find QB talent in this league.

Other than that- 1st team offense looked great last night. Darren can run behind this line and it looks like Dak is primed up for the exact opposite of a "sophomore slump". He is the real deal, and a true student of the game.

I dont really understand that. Talent wins games, not trust.

I think this is what separates Bellicheck and the rest of the average coaches. Bellicheck is willing to take risks and play someone off the streets in playoff games and the rest are too afraid and go with players they "trust".

But how long would have Matt Moore really stayed, once his contract was up he would have left as a FA anyway most likely. Weeden and all those others came way after Matt Moore, so that was not the issue there. Do you think Matt would have been a 12 year back up here?
Brad Johnson was coming here no matter if Matt was here or not. That was becasie Parcells would have done that regardless.

Nice play here. I like how Rush sets his feet, delivers the accurate throw with hit incoming, touchdown. Noah Brown making plays.

Two things that stood out on that play is Cooper looks off the safety in the middle then makes an accurate throw while under pressure. He stood in the pocket and still made the throw knowing he is going to get whacked after the throw.

You don't see that in many vet QBs let alone a UDFA rookie.

Rush has a shot at being able to play in the league. But Noah Brown is not a player you hold a roster spot for. You can find a Noah Brown on any practice squad in the league.

I'd cut Noah Brown so I can keep Rush.

Every year you can find 100 WR prospects similar to Noah.

If the team feels Rush shows traits that he can be a starter in this league...you can't find that every year.
