My recommendation would be "Fire on High" by ELO... Awesome beat for most of the song, and would only accentuate some of those incredible moves and stutter-steps that JJ pulled on defenders last year.

AC/DC's Thunderstruck was used in a Longhorn's Rose Bowl highlight and it was perfect. I will probably use it sometime soon since it fits with football.

Does anyone have the older videos available to view?

Thanks,

In case anyone missed them, or we have new members to the forum, here are the links for some highlight videos:

Bombshell - offensive highlights, 2003. Windows media 9 encoded.

Slam - defensive highlights, 2003. Windows media 9 encoded.

Boom - Roy Williams highlights, 2002. Divx encoded.

Cowboys from Hell - the original Roy Williams video in divx. Mainly the same clips as Boom, but I made this one first. I remade it as Boom because it seems that a lot of Cowboys fans can't handle the hard stuff. No point in making a music video if people are muting the music to watch it. ;)

Rookies - Rookies highlights from 2002 (AB, Ross, Hunter, Dantzler). Unfortunately half the guys in the video aren't on the team anymore. Divx encoded.

Nostalgia - RBs from Cowboys history: Dorsett, Walker, Smith. My personal favorite video, especially in light of the drafting of Julius Jones.

Pictures of you too - QBs from our history, to the same song as Nostalgia. I was too lazy to find another and some people had asked me to slap this together, so I did.

Anyone having trouble playing Boom, CFH, Rookies, Nostalgia or POY probably needs the divx codec, it can be downloaded here. You'll need a high speed connection because the smallest of the videos is around 28 megs.

There are other things on the server as well, I'm just to lazy to link them all. Most of them are shorter clips, many without sound, just so guys who didn't get to see games could see some of our players in action.

I can only say as for the music please do set it to any Rap or Hip-Hop typoe crap. Beyond that I'm pretty easy to please. My taste tend to run a little more to Lenard Skenard's, "Call Me a Breeze" or "Freebird". Springsteen's "No Surrunder" or Tom Petty's "I won't Back Down" would be good and would have the attitude, that "fighter feel" that would be appropriate. Maybe something as hard as Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" or the Scorpions' Theme to the movie Freejack (can't remember the title) but please no Metallica or Pantera.

Maybe a few instrumentals, like "One" or "Call of Ktulu" by Metallica, "Ghengis Khan" by Maiden or "Switch 624" by Def Leppard. Or check out a band called Man-O-War. they have a heavy D-n-D/fantasy Metal sounds thats really nice. Another cool instrumental thats slow and melodic it "Tramontane" by Foreigner.

I like instrumental behind videos. They can say a lot more then words can when you get the right flow of music and action.

Not sure what Def leppards song title is, its real close to that, but I am going off memory. maiden also has another instrumental off the 2nd album, name escapes me, but it is really sweet too.

I think it might be cool if he made a rap version and a rock version. Then again, if the music fits, anyone can enjoy it IMO.

I'm a rap/hip-hop fan, but I loved the music to "Boom"... it fit Roy's destruction beautifully. :D

I think making a video is the easiest thing in the world, you just drop a bunch of clips in. Finding the right song is hard. I can't wait to see what song he picks for the video.

One of the coolest songs I've ever heard has to be F****** in the Bushes by Oasis. Its from the Fight Club soundtrack. You should definately check it out to see if it's useable. If you want something a little harder I'd reccomend Domination by Pantera. Another song that I can picture Julius running to is Block Rockin Beats by the Chemical Brothers.

Basically take a look at :

Oasis - F****** In the Bushes
Pantera - Domination
The Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin Beats

BattleFlag by the "Low-Fidelity All Stars".

Pretty neat and it's a little off the beaten path of music, so to speak.

Starts out a little slow and then really picks up.

Cool song.
