Cowboys video news...

prolly my fave song of all time.
Great minds Jt. I think it would appeal to all as it isn't real hardcore and pretty upbeat...

JD, thanks for the Giants clips, I really appreciate it.

I am still torn on some songs. Basically, the video goes from Dorsett to Walker, to Smith and then finishes with Jones.

I have the Dorsett part done right now. I ended up using the song "Ronin" from the Last Samurai soundtrack. I am thinking of having all the past running backs having epic songs and then the Jones highlights with something different because he is the new era.

I tried to sync the music to most of the cuts and break aways. It would be better if I cut some of the clips down, but I didn't want to since the runs were so great.
Anyway, I should finish today.

Just play PanterA man...
Hook up "Reprise(Sandblasted Skin)" and it will destroy anything.
Guaranteed.

Calico you might want to have each song come from the time period when the RB was at his peak. For Dorsett something from the late 70's or early 80's, Walker late 80's, Emmitt early to mid 90's. Then something new and fast for JJ.

Song suggestions:

For Tony D - Winning by Santana - from 81 when Tony had his best statistical year and ran for 1646

For Herschell - It's So Easy by Guns N Roses - from 88 when HW had over 2000 all purpose yards and rushed for 1514

For Emmitt - Here Comes The Hotstepper by Ini Kamoze - from 95 when Emmitt went for 1773 and 25 TDs

If he doesn't use if for Emmitt there is a pretty good chance I'll use it on my Julius Jones video. As smooth and fast as Julius is I'd say hot stepper is a perfect description.

ah, I'm not sure what the criteria is... but, if your doing something on Roy... try Prong's - "Snap your fingers, Snap your Neck"... would work great for his big hits...

Thanks for all the song links and ideas. I decided to go ahead continue with my idea for one video and make several JJ vids with the different music in each one.

almost. The Emmitt Smith section is giving me fits with the audio.

"Search and Destroy" from the 1973 seminal punk LP "Raw Power" by Iggy Pop and the Stooges (the Iggy-remastered version with the ramped-up guitar - not the original david bowie mix... not knocking the original - just prefer the emhasized agression of the remix). it made for a pretty cool nike ad a few years back.

the lyrics perfectly describe roy-like onfield fierceness ("i'm a streetwalkin' cheetah with a heart full of napalm") and, ironically, they can easily apply to some of the angst, and perhaps anger, roy may be experiencing over last year's disappointing season ("i'm the world's forgotten boy - the one who searches and destroys").

don't play any of those cheesy rock songs a lot of people have mentioned...

Do a song that is APPROPRIATE for a highlight video.. a song can make or break a highlight video

How about "100 miles and running" by NWA? I know it's a little old school, but I think the tempo and the chorus really go well with what JJ has done so far.

i hope you're not referring to "raw power" as cheesy. i wouldn't trade it for 50 of your "soul asylum", "the cardigans", "pea diddly", et al CDs. :D

Hip-hop suggestion...

Big L - "Size Em Up", very high-tempo, would be nice for a Julius highlight vid.
