i hope you're not referring to "raw power" as cheesy. i wouldn't trade it for 50 of your "soul asylum", "the cardigans", "pea diddly", et al CDs. :D

Well...Yes Actually

But be that as it may. As for some good purely instrumental music to set the video to a very good one would be Joe Satriani's "Ice Nine" or any of several other Satriani renditions. Really hot guitar with plenty of changes to follow the action (or make the action follow the music).

I'd suggest Jimi 'Crosstown Traffic'

The music may be a little fast, but some of the lines fit perfectly

'tire tracks all across your back, I can see you had your fun'

That would be killer...summer song might fit as well.

As far as new electronica I would suggest VooDoo people by the Prodigy.

There is honestly some hiphop that isn't garbage. A good rule of thumb is to stay away from the pop rappers (ie 50 cent).

great song. "the extremist" and "surfing with the alien" CDs get a lotta PT in my car stereo. makes trips go a lot faster.

but i gotta pay attention not to speed excessively when i listen to 'em. :D

sorry for the delay. I am having some problems encoding some of the highlights into a format that won't crash my PC when I attempt to edit them.

I didn't want to derail this thread completely, so I'll just say I strongly disagree with Jack when he says all rap is inevitably garbage

I do all of my editing and tweaking in picvideo format, it's easy to decode and essentially lossless. The compression will only be around 5:1, but it's super fast and easy to work with. I only code to divx after I'm completely finished with the video. I think it cost me $29 for the picvideo codec, I believe you could use huffyuv in a similar fashion and it's free.

OK, it looks like Calico is working on the collective RBs video right now and won't be posting a JJ solo vid until later in the week so here is a JJ vid to hold everyone over for now. It's nothing special, just something I threw together last night and finished this morning. I really liked the idea of using 'here comes the hotstepper' so I went ahead and whipped it up. As usual, divx blah blah blah 46 or so megs.

Absolutely awesome JD.

All that in only 8 games... that vid got me vexxed up for the 2005 season.

How hard would it be to put a different soundtrack over it and send it to me?
(dont get me wrong, I love the Ini Kamoze- it fits well... Id just like to have another copy with a different song)

Once again, nice work.
