I've never liked JG and today showed me why...was just OUTCOACHED like usual
I have never jumped on the JG bandwagon either. He's still the coach that led this team to only 4 wins last year. Even without Romo, this team was at least a .500 team.

Agreed. If Crosby's second attempt at the game winner would've sailed 18 inches to the left, then people would be saying Garrett was a genius for having the foresight to save the final timeout in case we needed to ice Crosby.

The spike doesn't bother me. I think we should have given Dak two plays to call, which is what many coaches do in situations like that.

Disagree. We were trying to win it in regulation. If not for a good play by their DL, we may get a TD to win.
spiking the ball is giving up, the down was more important with a timeout in our back pocket and the defense on its heels

if you couldn't see exactly what happened playing out after we spiked it, you don't watch much football

BTW......Dez balled out today.

He had a great game.

He did it against a UFDA 4th CB who was clearly overmatched but he did everything he possibly could against Gunter.

It's a shame they didn't challenge Gunter sooner.

Just listened to his press conference...I don't even think he was depressed....sad...no accountability, nothing....I don't even think he blamed himself and he defended himself and his coaches for the SPIKING the ball Really!!! because that was a bonehead play.

Agreed, I also questioned why we would spike it there. I hate wasting downs, but also it gave GB even more time to score. Unreal.

Defence was bad against a red hot Rodgers led GB.. but my point agrees that we knew that going in.. which is why our ability to control time and ball was everything and we failed badly. Zeke could have had another 100 yards easily.. was craving them up inside and outside..
We all knew we needed 30+ points to win . We didn't get it done. No excuses.

We gave up too much too early. Give our new triplets high marks. They played out of their minds. Our defense is adequate at best. Adequate doesn't work against Green Bay's QB. We should have blitzed them on that last play. Can't let Rodgers the time we did and hold up on the back end.

It's REALLY hard to lose when your QB throws for 300, RB runs for 100, and top WR goes over 100. Would love to know the official stat on that.

I watched it again.

It was legal.

Watch it again after you read the below.

The center is beat off the snap. He arm bars / hooks the left shoulder of the DT to slow him down. The LG comes off a combo block w/ the LT and has time to drive block the DT due to the hold described above. This is what caused the DT to go to the ground.

It's the same type penalty that gets called on an OT when he's beat on the outside rush and he hooks /arm bars the rusher to slow him.

The described hold above was way worse then the hold on Free earlier in the game.

.

We all felt great about the future in 2007 too, then we made the playoffs just once in the following next 6 years.

That's OK, Jerry will hoodwink us all off season with talk of an open contest between Dak and Romo next camp. Anything to stay in the news...
