Cowherd: "It's ridiculous to expect Dak to get over the hump, as it would be for Kirk Cousins."

Some of those Brady teams were just kinda above average....and he made them great.

Same with Mahomes....chiefs aren't great without him.

Aikman and Elway....( and steve young and Jim Kelly and montana) had great teams.
First of all, if you have to use Brady and Mahomes to make your point, you dont have one.

Cousins and Dak are almost identical statistically in every way.
In fact, Cousins has been better over the last 5 years.

That's one reason why it irritates me when folks complain about Dak being "underrated" when Cousins is usually ranked below him.
Whenever they are ranked, they should be ranked right beside each other.....at the very least.
Cousins and Dak skillset is similar no doubt. Cousins doesnt have the leadership skills that Dak has.

Dak is also more of a dual threat than Cousins.

It’s trigger fans 101. He knows what he’s doing comparing him to Cousins. It’s a joke. He use to do the same stuff with Romo.
But their on-field performance (which is the bottom line, after all) has been nearly identical.
If fact, Cousins' stats have been better since he went to the Vikings
So really, it's not a joke.

Fwiw...with the right team and coaches around them....I think BOTH QBs could win a SB.
If Foles can do it, they can too. BUT it'd have to be the right coaches and teams around them.

Watch Moore with Herbert this year.
I don't think that will say as much about Moore as you think it will.
The general consensus is that Herbert is more talented than Dak.
We should expect Moore to do better with arguably a better quarterback, especially one going into his fourth year.
What I want to see is if he can make brilliant calls and devise a game plan to win a critical game.
Aikman to Harper in the 92-93 NFC Championship Game was a brilliant call.
Let's see if Moore can do something similar.

It's eerie how similar Tony Romo's stats are to those two. Hmm...

Tony Romo
Completion percentage 65.3
Passer rating 97.1
Passing yards per game 219.1
TD to INT ratio 2.12
Yeah, but starting a full 10 years earlier in the league makes a big difference.
Tony's adjusted stats are higher than both of them
What's amazing is that even starting a decade earlier, his passer rating is the same....adjusted it closer to 102 than 97

And of course (I'm sure you know this) his passing yards per game are more like 269, not 219 (that number uses the 3.5 years he didn't play QB and counts them as QB games)

Time-adjusted (QB ratings and overall numbers have been rising steadily) Romo has better stats than both.....just as Staubach has better-adjusted stats than Romo

2022 adjusted ratings
Staubach 106.4
Romo 101.7
Prescott 98.2
Huh? Cousins and Romo played at the same time lol…granted, he was older but let’s not act like Romo wasn’t around when Cousins was.

Where did you get this “adjusted” stat from? I’m curious to see how it’s compiled.

See this is when the idiot in them comes out. You say this and they will say “Dak has a better team around him”….then will say Dak can’t win a SB and completely not acknowledge you need a team to do it lol.
So QB's win games?

Which is it dude. Try to keep your story straight.

How can Cousins win a SB when he’s shown he can’t win in primetime? Dak plays for the Cowboys….nearly most of his games are prime time games. Cousins can’t win in primetime. Dak can’t get past the 49ers…Cousins can’t get past ANYONE LOL.

I hear you

I don't know if either can, but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Fwiw...In 2021, the Vikings won a road playoff game with Cousins then lost at San Francisco--when he had a very Dak-like game in the loss with a 1 TD and 1 turnover.

Last year they lost a playoff game but he had 2 TDs, 0 Ints, 273 yards, and a 113 QB rating

LOL...that was brilliant! You avoided having to answer the question. My compliments!

SO it will be the QB when it's convenient for you, and the team when THAT is convenient. Cool....got it.,
I’ve always said it was the team when they win and the team when they lose. We’ve had this conversation before but let me guess we didn’t right? Or are you confusing me with someone else?
