Cowherd: This is what Dallas was last year. What happens when game is tight?

It’s like Stephen A, they can be wrong 16-17 times. As soon as they lose to an arguably better team (SF was a little better the previous two seasons) it’s immediately Ha! I told you so
The odds are heavily stacked in their favor. I could predict that every team in the NFL will not win the super bowl because of something, something, something and be right 31 of 32 times.

He makes a good point, we will find out later how they respond in a tight game.

Colin Cowherd who picked the Giants to beat the Cowboys in week 1. And also the same Colin Cowherd who before last season started was saying how the Cowboys weren't even a top 15 NFL team roster wise. Not to mention all of the wrong takes he has made on Non-Cowboys related teams and players. Why are we suppose to give his word any credibility?

I still say the 49ers game will really confirm if we're the same team from last year or not
Can’t wait for this game! Last year during the season , i saw a lot of inconsistency and the loss to the Niners (again) confirmed my doubts.

the Niners have an impressive roster but I have to believe that our 8 year veteran can outplay a dude with less than one season under his belt……..we have to have the better guy at that matchup or we lose again.

I keep hearing about “bus driver” and I get all that but at SOME POINT, the team has to be LED and not just have a cautious bystander…….I hope to God that this IS that year.

Its not like Dak hasn't been in tight games.....until it happens we wont know, and that might not be for a couple of weeks.

He's not entirely wrong, but this defense is markedly better than last year, and the offense is a notch better, too.

There isn't a better roster in the league than this one when healthy.
I would say the 49ers roster is right there with the cowboys. The eagles roster too.

Dallas added some big pieces in Gilmore and cooks. But the niners knocked out the cowboys the last 2 years by being more physical in the trenches.

I would say Dallas has more upside on their roster, but until they prove they can beat the niners, I wouldn't put them as the best roster in football

Exactly! This defense is special right now. My only complaint yesterday was why is Parsons in the game in the 4th quarter with that lead.
He should’ve been pulled after the INT. When the Jets got the ball back there was just under 4 minutes left. No reason to put him back in the game at that point. Prior to that we couldn’t take any chances. A couple of big plays and they could’ve been right back in it. They hit us with one big play in the first half. Their only chance was to take shots down the field. In the NFL no lead is safe until you have a three score lead with about 3 to 4 minutes left.

I'm wondering the same thing too. Last year early in the season the defense looked like world beaters, but as the season progressed and Prescot's interception totals started to climb the defense's play came crashing back to earth in the close games because they were worn out from all the offensive turnovers and 3 and outs.

Cowturd is a clown. Constant clickbait trash. If this were the Giants beating folks with sound offensive production and a world class D.. he’d be drooling on Daniel Jones's jock strap.

Dak has shown improvement, but he hasn't had to be the reason the Cowboys have gotten out of a tough spot as of yet.
Still, it's unfair not to give him props and consider that McCarthy finally taking control with his own job on the line and teaching Dak the West Coast offense might have brought Dak to a higher level of play. The offense has cost the Cowboys every year.
So yes, it's wait and see.
But I have seen what looks like an improvement in the weakness that has haunted the Cowboys for the past seven seasons.

Colin is right about last year but what he's failing to see or acknowledge is this is a better defense and a new offense that minimizes the amount of time Dak has to hold the ball, limiting turnovers. He's blind because he doesn't like McCarthy

Which is not what I said. I said there isn't a better roster. As in, they're as good as anyone when healthy.

Hilarious how he deals with Dallas. Hey..... their defense is too good when they play 85% of the league, so he belittles there wins because the defense is TOO good. Huh? you cant make this stuff up. So I guess that means that they are just GOOD Cowherd. Thats what good teams do, they beat and even dominate teams consistently. Hey Coheard.... I thought that Niner team and defense is so amazing, yet they didnt dominate a Rams team that you probably predicted would win 4 games this entire season.... but after they hang with your number 1 team you will say.... oh, those Rams are far better than we thought.......... smh

He is not wrong, we will see. Something feels different.
The difference is, the bend-but-don't-break nature of this defense is gone. Against middling to poor teams, it's light out.

This team seems different this year. Seems like #4 is being managed better so props to our head coach. We got something with this group of players and coaches. Go Cowboys!

Unfortunately for some nothing the cowboys do will matter until the post season, it’s understandable. Even for detractors no matter how good the team plays - it’ll always be but show me.

I think for fans like myself, I just enjoy the week to week ride. If I only look at it as “championships or bust” and make it so black and white I deprive myself of real enjoyment. That said I obviously acknowledge stakes are high and have real goals for the team.
are they saying that about the Lions? Show me when it matters? How about the Bengals? Chargers????Nah..... the Cowboys have their own set of rules that allows the announcers to keep them in the headlines. Who cares what any of them think. I personally think some of them come up with and say this stuff even though they dont actually believe any of it.

Jones had 312 yards and 2 TDs yesterday as well as 60 yards rushing and another TD on the ground.... but he stinks, right? He stinks so it will fit his narrative that the defense will only dominate against bad QBs.... but that QB was balling yesteday.
