It was a disgrace. But I would have thought we would have been much further along then we are 3 years ago. Next year, no excuses - Ware had better be a beast

excellent post.

it was kind of like hiring the enemy....i agree.

Like I said in another post, I think we need to do is take a page from the Eagles book and hire someone who can teach like Andy Reid. We need a coaching staff who can teach. We don't necessarily need discipinarians and we definitely don't need motivational speakers like Dennis Green. We don't even need a gimic coach, (Buddy Ryan with his defense or Chan Gailey with his offense). We need a coaching staff who can teach and discipline to a moderate degree.

We need TALENT! And lots of it - Starting on the Oline - ending with Kicker

See this right here is what scares me.

I certainly didnt expect to see a comment like this 3 years into Parcells' tenure, but it is true.

The truth hurts.

I dont think this forum was around 3 years ago...not sure, but I know I wasnt on any message boards 3 years ago when Parcells became coach.

Okay, when you found out Parcells was our new coach, where the heck were you at?

Also, give some insight on what you thought this team would be 3 years from not?

Not stiring up the pot, I am curious to see if we all had the same thoughts.

I think it was a great move and still do.....

I think I was at work.

I was happy with the move because I know he has a reputation for rebuilding teams and wouldn't let JJ push him around ala Gailey/Campo/Switzer. We would finally have a football guy making the decisions again.

I fully expected us to be a quality team after 3 full years under BP. Instead we are a mediocre team crumbling during the playoff run. I'm very disappointed overall because I don't believe there is enough upside in this roster to be a contender next year either. The other bad thing is that we have probably eaten up a good part of our salary cap with overpaid, old players - Glover, Allen, Rivera and Fergy come to mind.

I think it is probably time for all parties involved to move along.

I agree friend...

I have been harping on the signing of older players since BP got here...stating that the time we get some of the things turned around...
we will have to do it all again because they will have been on their last legs or just no longer any good...

If you build a team it has to be with young guys...If you have a playoff caliber team than you can supplement it with older vets to get you over the hump...Bill is trying to do both and all that will get you is .500 football

I honestly thought in his 3rd season with us, we would be a playoff team with some real post-season potential.

We are almost exactly that.

Disappointing that we seem to be just shy of it.

As Cowboys fans, we're just disappointed. We have been making excuses for BP for so long, and now we're fed up.

We're fed up with these old guys coming in here taking snaps from someone who could be something or not, but how can we find out (Henson,Romo). We're not used to being a middle class franchise and team.

We are a proud franchise that expects Super Bowls, Period. We expected at this time to be gearing up for a Super Bowl run, instead we're getting our aces handed to us by

a bunch of over achieving loser organization like the Deadskins. It's depressing.
