With that performance it doesnt really matter. His contract (and extension) will expect something over and above the expectation that he only hits open receivers. May as well look at a mobile QB that will take advantage of the crowded secondary.

Can someone please point out something Dak excels at when it comes to the QB position? He’s not all that accurate, he isn’t very mobile, he doesn’t have a great arm, he isn’t very good at reading defenses, he doesn’t throw with anticipation and he isn’t a good leader of men. So what exactly does he have that’s worth 40 million?

We couldn’t do any worse with giving Trey Lance a look at this point. Who cares if we win 9 games or 6 games the result is the same. This team is not competing for a championship this year either way

Good point.

If we get blowed out by the Chargers I would seriously consider starting Lance after the bye week................but we know Jerry will never do that.

Ironically (and unfortunately for Cowboys’ fans), this phrase if read in a particular way seems to sum up his QB ability.
