Lots of post here compare Dak to Manning, Brady, and paint Dak as an MVP front-runner. I like to share a different perspective.

Rodgers missing his top 3 receivers, 3 O-line man including David Bakhtiari, and his defensive coordinator--went into Arizona and beat the hottest team in football. That game is the definition of a QB doing more with less. That is a true MVP caliber QB and that someone who should be pay 40 millions a year.

Is that Dak? Can Dak do what Rodgers just did? Has Dak ever won against the best team in the league while being significantly undermanned? If we didn't have Lamb, Cooper, Gallup, missing 3 O-lineman, no Dan Quinn, and a running game that not as good as Zeke/Pollard, would we have beaten the Cardinals in their home? Rodgers has only thrown one pick this year, while Dak threw a pick against the lowly Giants.

Dak does "enough" for this team to win games because our roster is stack. He has only beaten the worst team in the league (Lions, Falcons, Giants, Eagles), without a running game in his entire career. He has not even beaten a single average team when the running game is absent.

Dak is not an MVP front-runner but he is in the conversation. Put any other top 10 QB on this team and they would do the same or better; Dalton is a backup, not a starter. Dak is not a top 5 QB but he is a fringe top 10 QB who look better thanks to the talent on this team and our division. I do think we have the #1 overall rosters with few flaw while having a decent amount of depth. Depth that team like the Rams, Cardinals, Bucs, Packers, and others don't have.
Damn Troll. Go back under your bridge.

I've been a fan since 1962. I've been a fan a long time and I've supported this team and all the players, not just a selected few. That said, I am also a fan of Dat's and we enjoy meals at his family's restaurants as often as possible. I've even seen him in there in the early days. Go Cowboys

He is one of the few that I wish got paid more, but he played in the wrong era, well players didn't make anywhere as much as they do now. He only made a total of 7 millions, that is chump change nowadays. But imagine if we had prime Dat Nguyen today as our ILB or MLB! :starspin:

I didn't become a Cowboys fan because they won 5 superbowls. Most of us younger fans never saw an NFCCG appearance from the Cowboys, so we running out of patience. Like if we don't make the NFCCG this year...that literally 20+ years of disappointment. Like the Rams, our windows is closing fast and they went all in. Stafford can win you games without a running game. Stafford only has a total of 13 games with a 100 yards rusher throughout his entire career in Detroit. That literally one year for Dak. Dak in 1 year has the same number of 100 yard rushers as Stafford in 13 years.

That's one hell of a self own. Doesn't even watch the games but anxious to share the Google translate version of his opinion

I told you I was honest. I only missed 2 games, and none of those were important game. Versus Panthers and Giants, and I only missed the final 3 quarter of the Giants game.

Do what?

Hold AZ to 21 points? Rodgers didn't do that. GB's defense did.
Pass for 184 yards? Pretty sure Dak can do that.
Hand off 31 times for over 150 yards rushing. Dak's done that too.

Some of you act like certain QBs have magic wands. GB won that game at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They made Rodgers' job much easier.

Dak probably couldn't do what Rodgers did. But Dak is playing great and with a great supporting cast hopefully he will get the help he needs to get this team to a championship.

name all these so called Elite defenses in the nfl right now that dak cant beat..

Hes been passing test after test breaking narratives this year so id like to jot down that list of defenses which btw i dont think many exist,,if you say TB dak lit them up game one on the road after not playing most of last year and no preseason games and recovering from 2 injuries' and no run game support.

there are 32 teams in the league, i cant think of more then 10 GOOD defenses this season and not one seems élite or unbeatbale.. So with our with limited 17 game schedule with 10 to go sitting at 6-1 which elite defense will dak have to face this year he won't be able to beat..

ill be bookmarking your response for use down the road..

list them ,

elite defenses dak will face this season because thats all that matetrs , each season is one off..
go

As i said but you didnt seem to understand. Category is a constant it has nothing to do with present play.

I already listed my QBs. And in that thread i did also defined the categories.
Search for the thread by yourself. I did it too many times for others.

In short:

Elite QBs are: Rodgers, Montana, Marino, P. Manning ...
Good QBs are: Mahomes, Elway, Wilson, Brady, Rothlisberger ....
Average QBs are: Prescott, Stafford, Carr, Ryan, Cousins ....

Im still out on Murray.

And yes. There is only 1 elite QB these days playing in the NFL. Thats Aaron Rodgers. To all i just can suggest: watch this guy play. He may be arrogant or else. Doesnt matter. This guy is just the best you can enjoy if you like watching QBs.

Interesting. Stafford is honestly very close to Rodgers if he wasn't stuck in Detroit his entire career. He is killing it in LA right now. Like he doing better than what Brady did with the Bucs their first few games.

It’s like the OP focused on the fact that the Packers were missing a bunch of starters.

However, didn’t watch the game and how the Packer’s players actually did play.

The Packers as a team played a really good game on Thursday Night. Just because some starters were missing doesn’t mean other players didn’t step up. They get paid too ya know.

Their backup receivers didn't even know how to line up correctly or know the play, which is why Rodgers had to wasted so many time out and getting multiple delay of game penalty. Sure the defense did good but the offense was all Rodgers + their RBs.

Let him do it another 10 years and you may have an argument here.
Until then i watched his play long enough to tell you he is average at best.

Again: good play in 2021 has nothing to do with being elite or else.

I have no idea how you can place Dak in the "average" category. He's been rated between 5-7 (or higher) in almost every poll and catagory. That's not average.
