Whoever happens to be the designated starting quarterback for my team is going to be my guy as soon as the opening kickoff is in the air. However, that doesn't mean that he is beyond criticism once the final gun goes off.

It also doesn't mean that he isn't subject to fair competition for the starting job. I think both Romo and Dak did a pretty good job for the Cowboys but if the next Roger or Troy came along then they need to sit or go.

Also, criticism is not hate and hope is not "man-love". When it comes to discussion, this "binary" mentality of love/hate just strangles common sense debate. You can approve of a player despite certain flaws if his overall play is a benefit to the team as opposed to another player or simply our perception of a better player.

I’m not going hunting for some nonsensical comments about Cooper Rush. Literally nobody really believes that. If they did, please tag them so I can mute them. Thats a level of idiocy I won’t engage.

However, there are Dak fans who truly believe he’s on par with Mahomes it is way more than a nonsensical comments. If you don’t spend time outside of this forum when it comes to the Cowboys you should, it’s eye opening, and makes you understand why fan bases hate us so much. There is a chunk of fans that use Mahomes as a Dak metric every chance they get. The only thing similar is their outlandish statements.

If you’re going to tie up 55-60 million you need a guy who can do more with less. Because he’s going to have a lot less.

But I’m not one of those who believes even if we had a QB on a friendly contract that the Jones boys would spend money to fill it out. So, for me find me a guy who can do more with less. Thats it.

The team=Bus QB is the driver.

So the guys who say Rush is better than Dak aren’t serious but the guys who say Dak is better then Mahomes are?

I live in the area am always around Cowboys fans and these kind of debates never come up...not once have i seen 2 Cowboys fans go to blows and name calling over Dak..nor do i see fans everyday who think "Dak sucks" and such they all know why this Franchise is broken.
