It has more to do with what you

We didn't need to draft a QB early at the time. We didn't know Romo would be injured in preseason. We were set with our starting QB, so we picked the player (Zeke) who was most valuable to our team. Had we been in the market for a franchise QB, we would've moved up to get one, not waited for the 4th round.

You said QBs drafted high go high because the team who picked them are bad. I pointed out that's not always the case and we were worse than them since we had a higher draft pick than the Eagles. Just because we didn't pick a QB with our 4th pick doesn't change the fact that the Eagles weren't a worse team than us.

Actually I didn’t. I totally understand why you said it. To paint the picture that Dak didn’t do anything to help the team win.

I never denied he managed the game.. I’ve been saying that for a couple years now.

What does why Dak was drafted, have to do with him being the only one drafted that year, to win a playoff game thus far?
It's about the fact that higher drafted QBs tend to be drafted by teams with losing records (generally worse teams). Therefore, it seems less likely those QBs would make it to the playoffs.

After he was hooked by the LB.

First of all, hooking is allowed as long as you don’t turn the WR.. now basic logic would tell you that saying he hooked the WR doesn’t mean he PI’d Gallup.

Gallup got tangled up because the defender was right there to make a play.. Dak threw to a covered WR on a matchup Linehan wanted and got bailed out

The LB had his arm around Gallups waist and turned him around as Gallup was about to make the catch. That's called pass interference.

No Gallup turned because his feet got tangled up with a LB who was in position to make a play and Dak threw it to a guy well covered and got bailed out on a ticky tack which is why Gallup started walking off the field immediately

No. Gallups leg got tangled after the LB started to turn him around.

No, basically just a typical bang bang play that the refs called and bailed Dak out with him throwing to a well covered WR

Doesn't change the fact Eagles weren't worse team than us. Not all bad teams pick QBs with their high first round pick. Go look at the Giants last year.

Noone "bailed" Dak out. If the LB didn't interfered with Gallup, that would have been a catch.

If the ref let them play like they should have instead of bailing them out it would have been fourth down and a punt

You know what else? If we win tonight, Dak will be the first Cowboys QB to win multiple playoff games in a season since Aikman.
A team stat, of course, but a good one.

Of course they don't. But the ones who need a QB usually do, and this thread is about QBs drafted in the past 3 years.

They did let them play. Why do you think the same LB who interfered with Gallup didn't get a flag when he bumped into Brown and got the INT?

And Dak’s team went 4-12 the year before he was drafted. And saying Romo was hurt doesn’t really change anything because Romo never played another down for the cowboys, except that meaningless drive against the eagles.

So it’s no different than other teams having high draft picks.....

Because Dak underthrew his wide open Brown making him Allen into the LB.. two bad throws by the QB..

And if they call the legit PI against the LB the previous drive. The Int doesnf count and the cowboys likely score a TD having first and goal from the 1. And still would have had a 10 point lead.

The penalties pretty much evened out down the stretch.

Are you saying a defender can do whatever they want as long as the pass isn't perfect?
Yeh OK.

If Dak didn’t throw a horrible pass to a wide open Brown which caused him to slow down into the PB it wouldn’t have been an INT..
