he got the job because he doesn't cause turnovers. his whole career starts back in high school, then college is designed around not creating turnovers. The pressure of not creating turnovers rules his mind. He can not take chances. His mind is now in charge of what he does. "no turnover, no turnovers", he knows what has got him this far. He will not take chances on a turnover and doesn't trust his arm. That's why you see the hesitant throws or double pumps and missed throws.
