All the eye test tells you is that Dak missed throws and got sacked a bunch. Play calls, wr routes, defensive coverages, etc. aren't apart of the eye test.

Most people/fans don't understand football enough to know what they are looking at. Experts exists in every field so that the uninformed understand what they are seeing.

False conclusions comes in when people think they are experts from eye test.
Still in shock from what you saw, can’t believe your eyes, it’s a decease called homerism it can be treated and corrected.

This is absolutely pitiful. What does everyone think happened to him? I cannot remember a worse performance from a quarterback and he has the pocket awareness of Chad Hutchinson. Maybe his games were as bad? That's been 20 years almost.

No preseason snaps and no trust in his wide receivers.

When you can look at Dak objectively you knew this is what it would look like the sec Cooper was let go and not replaced.

It's like everyone just forgot about what he looked like in 2018 pre-Cooper trade.

The way this board has such selective memory with Dak should be studied in phycology classes around the country. They think HE makes these guys better when in reality he's nothing without elite guys surrounding him.
Dak didn’t need Coop, he was bum 2018 didn’t mean a thing it was Dak that made Coop great, I read here from the folks who tell everyone they know football so it must be true. Got to laugh just have to laugh

No it was more than that there is something they are not telling us, Even your HS coaching acumen has to see there is no way Dak can play that bad being everything’s good with him.

Eye test can be proven wrong by research and experts. Coming to a conclusion without any knowledge on any subject is well... foolish.

he got the job because he doesn't cause turnovers. his whole career starts back in high school, then college is designed around not creating turnovers. The pressure of not creating turnovers rules his mind. He can not take chances. His mind is now in charge of what he does. "no turnover, no turnovers", he knows what has got him this far. He will not take chances on a turnover and doesn't trust his arm. That's why you see the hesitant throws or double pumps and missed throws.
not a negative post, just what I see.
This. The coaches know this but yet the game plan they implement does not reflect it. Dak plays it safe which is a positive, it might look bad but maintaining possession is key. He would've been better off playing during the Parcells tenure because the current staff cannot function in close , defensive battle type games.

You have glasses that explain football in real time?!? Wow, you should take those to market.
It’s easy there is no defending that performance. Funny you know the play called you know the route’s you know the the check downs the reads when in reality you don’t have a clue just say it it was as bad as it was watching it and even worse when reviewing it, you can do it.

Dak was absolutely terrible. He sucked. It was a terrible performance and imo he’s worst of his career and Was hard to watch. That said it’s one game. That’s all. One terribly bad game.

the reaction to on this board is a bit embarrassing tbh. So prisoner of the moment

The eye test. That's all we need. 100k fans in the stadium and millions at home booing a 40 million dollar QB off the field is all you need to know. He was bad. Again and forever.

the “eye test” from a bunch of slobs that likely peaked in high school and was the extent of their football career lol

"Playcalling" is an amateur's argument. All teams pretty much run the same plays. The playcaller can't throw the ball for him. He can't read the coverage for him. He can't move in the pocket for him. He can only call the play.

If you swapped quarterbacks and called exactly the same plays, the Cowboys would have won 19-3.

So you were okay wit the dumb trick plays? The right call with the right people at the right time...matters.

I think if they dumb down the playbook some more Dak will be ok, Jerry asked him to do to much and step up his game.
Maybe they could write it in sidewalk chalk with funny pictures of stick families and poorly drawn dinosaurs, and a dog that looks like a cow.

Seriously, every week going back to the Denver game last year the defenses after the game say they knew what was coming. How complicated do you think this playbook is?

Analysis and research shows and explains the entire picture, it isn't meant to make excuses.

Ignoring the entire picture is a very shortsighted way of looking at football.
