Nobody questions Dak's ability to produce yards, but is that the definition about 'coming up big'?
You can only do your job. You cant do someone else's job, which is why wins are a team stat and not an individual stat. He made the plays but between the defense, which has had a LOT of resources pumped into it, was basically unable to stop the Eagles most of the game, and the OLine, which forgot how to block, and Gallup's drops, it was just too much to overcome.

we went toe to toe with the best team in the league, and Dak had a great game. The refs were a big issue AGAIN. We were 1 play away from winning at the end. The late flags beat us, not Dak. We had a chance thanks to Dak. Unfortunately, we are in a hole. We must basically run the table to have any chance to catch them. MM and Dak called a great game. Ceedee was an animal again.I been saying all along we are a 10 win team. Thats exactly what we are and will be. Anything more is gravy.

You need to get away from the 'blame/fault' angle. Dak played really well, he just comes up short against the elite. This O-Line isnt going to improve any time soon: Tyron/Martin age deterioration, Biadazs - FA and Steele - injury (whether he'll improve?) , add in the CAP restraints with the forthcoming CeeDee and Micah contracts and this is as good as it gets for him.

Sometimes very good just doesnt get you over the line, it's not blame, it's just the situation he's in juxtaposition, he needs weapons but his contract demands (and defered payments) means we havent to CAP to facilitate.
Hit it on the nail.

Dak is Kirk Cousins or SLIGHTLY better. Needs an all-star roster around him and comes up short in BIG situations. The show is too big for him.

On that note, our 1st & 2nd picks appear to be projects right now. The draft room's most notable pick so far is a novelty pick......Deuce Vaughn. We need a Gordon Ramsey-type going in the draft room slamming computers, tablets, moving furniture, tossing notes, etc. Poor draft & no trades.......leaves us exactly who we are......stagnant and separated from having big moments in bigger games.
So you prefer the Taco pick? You draft the best player on your board not for a 1 year need. Trades, well possibly, but who would you of traded for in the summer? The roster was good enough, the injuries to Overshone, Diggs were unforeseen.

You play with what you've got.....it's not as if we didnt have our chances to win, it just came down to the players in the crucial positions executing. The blame can be disseminated to everyone, but the reality is that we are what we are, and with the CAP (sorry Denier's) and aging O-Line we probably arent getting better. As for trades, I dont think there were many O-Line on the market.

I think taking two sacks and putting the Line at risk on an audible...when we ALL know the line is having issues....

might be a little bit on Dak.

It wasn't all on Dak of course. But I think Dak yet again proved who he is...some really nice moments and game management...and some poor ones too.

Yes...yes..I know "all QB's have that". mkay.

The QB has the ball in his hands, IT IS HIS JOB. With 4:42 on the clock he had two drives to win it. Your post is picking on contributory factors, but as I keep saying, nothings going to improve in the near future (with big contracts/aging O-Line/limited CAP) so get used to it.....sometimes the QB just has to elevate his game to another level and that happens against the best (in the crucial moments), yes there are contributory factors but it's a regular occurrence: eg 49ers x2 Play-off games.

Im not blaming Dak, he is what he is, he just need's too much assistance to perform in an era that's going to see constraints on our CAP and O-Line that needs overhauling.

Yeah Dak just can't take a sack there. Gotta get rid of it. He held it. other than that, he was why we had a chance. Dak had a clean game and really was slightly better than Hurts was. Moral victories suck, but Dak raised my eyebrows with his clutch accurate throws. Glad we have him. I hate the Eagles and some day, they will hit a wall. I think it will be sweet when they start faltering as the year goes. That said, we must win every game the remainder of the month. Which includes buffalo and Miami. Tyron came out of the game healthy. Thats a surprise. Many will disagree with me. Thats fine, I am a big Mike McCarthy guy after seeing what we can be in his scheme. It just has to be executed. When we do so, we are very difficult to defend. Ceedee is having a monster year. Seems like hes always open.

Just another game to over-rate Dak, who crapped the bed like usual at the end. Dak is a poor decision maker. His last few games, teams just haven’t accounted for his legs where he’s been able to find guys in broken coverage.

Eagles absolutely suck on 3rd down, 25th on the league and 26th in red zone TDs. As usual, they were leaving guys open on third and longs. Their secondary is playing among the worst in the league right now. They left Lamb 1 on 1 with a rookie safety the whole first half. Slay has a 72% completion rate against him. Bradberry’s is the 13th highest passing rating.

only 3 teams have allowed more air yards than the Eagles and TEs abuse them.

Dallas basically played the same type of defense they played the last 2 games.

Instead of excuse making.......how about we go with "Next man up" regarding injuries that happen with every team. We don't have depth. If you get drafted 1 or 2, your uniform should be getting dirty every game.

My Defense 2 cents: Jourdan Lewis is done covering the slot, LVE was already done before injury, NFL means not for long. LB position has no heavy hitters.
Daron Bland has become a discovery.

My Offense 2 cents: No OL progress, WR depth or focus. Brandin Cooks would be better served in the slot (chain moving purpose), we have him outside like he is Tyrek Hill. Gallup route running and hands seem to be regressing. We relied on Noah Brown last year and saw how that ended. Tolbert on year 2, how long must we wait? Stick with Feguson at TE.

The lack of evidence of scouting with HBCUs or smaller schools is prevailing. Some of our greatest Cowboys didn't attend the "Big schools".

Dak had 2 miscues all game, but HUGE ones. 1 was stepping out of bunds when he had a fairly easy 2 pt conversion. The other was taking a sack late. Just can't take a sack there. Get rid of it. The Eagles db's are trash. We picked them apart. They are vulnerable. If we can stay healthy, make the playoffs, we might beat them. MM and Dak were great. Its just the 2 miscues or we win.

He had the ball on the 6 yard line and Tyler Smith got a false start. Is that Dak's fault? Or McCarthy's?
Yes it was Dak's fault. Tyler false start was him anticipating the snap since Dak constantly runs the play clock down to almost zero which gives pass rushers an advantage.

Go and rewatch the game and count how many snaps were close to a delay of game.

What makes you think that those 2 miscues are going to magically be cleared up?

Team is undisciplined. Coaching is bad. Jerry wont hire a hard *** coach because he wants to run the team. He is the reason we are where we are. Year after year

Serious question, Did you even watch the game? We were in it because of Dak. He basically willed us to being in and coming back all game long. He tore their D apart all game long. If you want to blame him for something on that last drive make it the delay of game. No reason for that but I suspect blame might be shared by the sideline also. But attempting to criticize him for going 83 yards (penalty aided of course) in 46 seconds with no timeouts is just silly.
That's like Dak saying hey I played good until we got into the RedZone. Its not my fault. Everyone makes mistakes but the mistakes Dak is making are multiple mistakes due to no discipline and not recognizing to throw the ball away.

Cowboys are suppose to have one of the best OLs in the NFL, so when do they do their part this season and step up to live up to the hype they're always getting as great pass protectors and run blockers?

you know, Hurts went toe to toe with Mahomes in the SB and “came up short” and ever Dak fan and their mamma was saying he choked. Dak blows the game against an Eagles secondary that absolutely SUCKS on third down, as was evident even last night, and all his fanboys are saying it’s the rest of the teams fault…

the only different is Dak has used his legs on collapsed pockets these last few games. Teams haven’t accounted for it overall yet, but you aren’t going to win a lot of games having to convert third and longs against porous secondaries, running around breaking pocket.
