Fans can be disappointed with their teams. This merry go round won’t stop until the FO changes.

Some fans are sick and tired of hearing and seeing the same old thing. 27 years?
Yup I'm sick of the same story...as are many. I actually wasn't all that mad at the end of the game last night as it ended pretty much how I thought it would

Yes it was Dak's fault. Tyler false start was him anticipating the snap since Dak constantly runs the play clock down to almost zero which gives pass rushers an advantage.

Go and rewatch the game and count how many snaps were close to a delay of game.
This is dumb. So why is Tyler the only one to false start then? If he anticipates the snap to at 0 why the hell did he false start lol?

If you are still here after 27 years then you can’t be that sick and tired….

It's not about blaming him for the loss, it's that he's repeatedly showing that he's not the guy who wins such games (factor in SF Play-Off games 1 and 2). He's not the problem, but he's not the solution.
That’s just a ridiculous agenda driven comment. We are talking about one game, yesterdays. He couldn’t really have done any more to win it. He couldn’t really avoid that sack on the last drive and what QB was going to complete a 27 yard pass into the end zone with the entire D sitting back there and 4 seconds left? He almost got it in there. If we didn’t waste so much time on the second to last drive and the HC planned for two possible drives instead of one it could have ended differently perhaps

Intellectually it doesn’t really matter! When was the last time you remember Dak coming up in these types of situations?? I don’t hate on Dak but the facts are that in big situations he usually fails! 2 playoff wins in 8 years, none in the 2nd round! I wish it were different, believe me!
Does it matter? The 6 or 11 does Brady get his team in the endzone? Rodgers? What about Troy Aikman? The great ones find a way. Dak had a very good game but couldn’t find a way to win it for his team in a huge game. It’s a theme. Not sure it ever changes as he is what he is. And that’s a serviceable NFL QB.

He had the ball on the 6 yard line and Tyler Smith got a false start. Is that Dak's fault? Or McCarthy's?
Every QB has to deal with setbacks like that....false starts etc. What...Dak is the only QB in history that has had the ball in a great spot, then had to deal with a 5 yard penalty schooching it back 5 yds?

Slightly Above Average QBs struggle overcoming those types of minor obstacles...really good or great ones don't

"Today is not the day to blame Dak".

That sentiment right there is a big part of the problem. Giving one entity a pass simple because other entities contributed to the problem makes no sense at all.

What I saw yesterday was a QB who played like I've never seen him play before. He took charge of that game and was a major reason in why the team was in a position to win in the end. I gave him major props in the game thread.

BUT

At some point, in a game like that, it comes down to crunch time and nothing that happened before matters at that point. It is all about 'what are you going to do now'.

So yea. You can't "blame" Dak for the loss but you can acknowledge the fact that the game was there to be won and Dak, among other reasons, was a significant factor in why it wasn't won.

In other words, Dak didn't lose the game but he also didn't seize the opportunity to win it.

I totally agree on this. None of the losses this year was purely on Dak. I've been a strong believer that (as you said) he's not the one that can take us to the SB. There's no doubt our offense is weak. Dak isn't helping matters by not reading everyone who is open. He's hellbent on (once he tells the people in the huddle who is getting the ball) throwing the ball to that receiver even if someone else is wide open 20 yards farther out. He's not seeing all his options. If you watched the game yesterday, you saw that multiple times.

If your takeaway from the philly game is that Prescott didn't do enough, evading all other factors - you might be fit for a circus.
I dont think many are saying that. If someone wants to break down daks game....they have to qualify every other issue first?
A bit messy.

You are being obtuse because you are intentionally using vague unquantifiable words as the basis of your argument. I can easily argue Dak elevated those around him yesterday. It would not be a tough argument to make.

The thing is I think you know that which is why you are trying to shift the conversation away from yesterday because by your own vague criteria Dak easily met it. I think you are trying to argue wins as a QB stat but we both know that’s a low football IQ take that makes no sense so you are trying to dance around it with vague terms.
Dak can elevate those around him....just not late on in games vrs a good defense and where he's in need of a TD.
You can ignore the trend or opportion blame, but the recent list is growing... Eagles
SF playoff 1
SF playoff 2.
He's the common factor in all three games.

We can say this or that lost the game for the Cowboys but AGAIN, it comes down to the QB making a play when you need it most and for some reason, Dak seems to always fall short and it’s not for lack of effort, he just doesn’t get it done. 1st and goal on the six to WIN the game and we don’t score? I partly blame Dak but mostly however in this spot, McCarthy you would think would have a golden play or 2 in the back of his head just for such a time in a big game. NOPE!!
It doesn't come down to RT giving up sack after sack, or RB not doing anything, or nobody getting open except for 88.... none of that huh lol

Go watch the NFL and tell me how many times to end a game you see Josh Allen or Mahomes or Burrow get the ball on the 6 and then a false start moves them back. You know what? Don’t even answer that. How many times have you seen a quarterback do that against us and win? I’ll wait.

There you go apportioning blame. I'm not, I'm just pointing out that Dak comes up short. Btw are we sure that last throw - 35yards was at his max distance (joke).

You guys are watching from the TV so yes you will see guys open…..it’s a tad bit different real time with 290 pound guys chasing you down…..especially from your right side all game.

I see offenses getting false starts...or even worse HOLDING, in the RedZone...constantly...every week. It's a false start LOL.

I see QBs have TD passes called back by holding calls....and they man up and go overcome.

LOL this happens ALL THE TIME!

You are not reading the question. How many times have you seen a situation at the end of the game where you are on the 6 yard line and you get a false start? Either you have seen it or you haven’t done give this crap about “I see it all the time” alright when did you see it?

We don't have to mention it, we'll just keep referring to 2xSF and now 1xPhil.

He just never appears to come through in the clutch scenario against a top defense..... you cant just overlook it. By all means blame the offense, but he's the one with the ball in his hands and it's not going to improve anytime soon.
I'm just not convinced he has the composure when the ultimate pressure's on him. SF2, P1
