"Today is not the day to blame Dak".
That sentiment right there is a big part of the problem. Giving one entity a pass simple because other entities contributed to the problem makes no sense at all.
What I saw yesterday was a QB who played like I've never seen him play before. He took charge of that game and was a major reason in why the team was in a position to win in the end. I gave him major props in the game thread.
BUT
At some point, in a game like that, it comes down to crunch time and nothing that happened before matters at that point. It is all about 'what are you going to do now'.
So yea. You can't "blame" Dak for the loss but you can acknowledge the fact that the game was there to be won and Dak, among other reasons, was a significant factor in why it wasn't won.
In other words, Dak didn't lose the game but he also didn't seize the opportunity to win it.
