What you are saying is obtuse nonsense designed only to try and find a way to cast blame on someone where none clearly exists by using platitudes instead of facts. You might as well have said it’s Dak’s because he didn’t run it to the end zone carrying all 11 defenders on his back. The QB has the ball in his hands, IT IS HIS JOB. With 4:42 on the clock he had two drives to win it. Your post is picking on contributory factors, but as I keep saying, nothings going to improve in the near future (with big contracts/aging O-Line/limited CAP) so get used to it.....sometimes the QB just has to elevate his game to another level and that happens against the best (in the crucial moments), yes there are contributory factors but it's a regular occurrence: eg 49ers x2 Play-off games.
Im not blaming Dak, he is what he is, he just need's too much assistance to perform in an era that's going to see constraints on our CAP and O-Line that needs overhauling.
No QB in the history of the NFL has been able to do what you described because it is a team game. If the line doesn’t block then the offense will fail. If there are no weapons to get open then the offense fails. Finally if the AB can’t get them the ball the offense fails. ALL 3 must work.
Dak, despite one unit massively failing, was still able to make the offense look good. He made the good players look great and the great player look all pro, which is his job.
Meanwhile on the cap, it’s only an issue because the Cowboys refuse to go in. They could very easily sign all of their players and grab some FAs but that would make a window and they don’t want a window, they want to be good every year, which makes them never great because it takes going in to be great.
