Dak on getting the ball to Dez

What I'm being to wonder is if Dez is just limited in what he can do.

He basically runs like 3 routes depending on down and distance and position on the field.

A quick slant across mid depth

A quick fade to the back corner of the end zone

and a curl or curl and go.

That's not to hard to read the tendencies.

Does he run any other routes?

The thing is.. I've seen Dez catch a 2 yard pass and take it to the house.

The guy is absolutely LETHAL when he just has the ball in his hands.

Remember what he used to do as a return man?

The guy is the Adrian Peterson of WR's. Sometimes you just overthink things.

Put the ball in Dez Bryants hands and let him go.

3rd and 20 and we're running a TE screen to Witten? Like Come on..

Pick plays to Dez? Can you imagine if we ran pick plays to Dez? Like how would anyone stop that?

All quick passes don't need to go to Witten and Beasley but we'll run 21 go routes with Dez so he clears out space for guys like Witten and Beasley who aren't going to beat defenses and make big plays consistently.

Our coaches start Williams over Butler. Our FO thinks Swaim and Wilcox are good enough to have roster spots. What makes you think if we traded Dez, we would get an actual talent to replace him with?

Younger guys don't get their chance unless there is an injury to the starter. So if you want Butler to start, you need Williams to get hurt. Simple. He ain't starting unless Williams is injured.

Pittsburgh moved Brown to get him away from Norman. And he destroyed Breeland.

I'd like to see Dez do the same thing.
No they didnt. They moved him because they always move him. Dallas will do the same with dez...with the exception that they dont really put him in motion.

I would like to see them sending him through the middle more, but he doesnt have the insane mobility that brown does, so there are routes available to brown that will never be available to dez. Brown is a generational, probably all time great player. And he has a hof qb throwing to him. Last year he had back to back games of 3 receptions with roethlisberger out. I dont think they were calling for the coaches head because of that...but to be fair i believe they won both games.

This is what defenses are doing, take Dez out and let Witten and Beasely catch all the passes they want between the 20's. That won't win many games, but Garrett will one day see it.....but probably not!

Your the ignorant one.

Tell me how Miles Austin's career suffered playing in this offense!

Because like Dez and TO he disappeared too often for a bigtime WR under the same philosophies we use now.. Take what the defense gives you.

Garrett is not this team's qb, hes not making the reads, and hes not telling this qb who to throw the ball to.

Criticize him in a way that makes sense. There is plenty of material.

When I read his comments, I immediately thought about Donovan McNabb and T.O. I hope Dez is not as thin-skinned as T.O.

'If Dez is the read, Dez is the read.”

I'm really liking this quarterback. That's exactly how it works and I'm glad he said it.

Dak Prescott: "We'll get him the ball as it comes up in our offense. We're not gonna single out & say Dez has to get the ball on this play."

WHY NOT!? That's like saying "YEAH We ARN'T GONNA GIVE LEBRON JAMES THE BALL BECAUSE MATTHEW DELLAVEDOVA IS WIDE OPEN" like just stop please

This isn't basketball and it doesn't work that way. You don't understand football.

And the fact that you would even think to compare Dez (quite average player who isn't fast, can't get open) to Lebron (best ever, maybe) tells us all that you don't understand football.

Absolutely. But I'm glad Dak doesn't seem to be the kind of QB that can get bullied into throwing the ball to someone. Forcing it to Dez is a bad idea.

Dallas just needs to run the ball better this week. That'll fix a lot right there for everybody.

Yes, agreed. And Dez needs to catch TD passes when the ball hits him in the hands.

Think of the things we do best offensively.

1. Running the ball which involves more imposing your will than actual scheme.

2. Romo running around and making a play outside of the scheme.

3. Dez jumping up over people and making a play.

What on earth kind of football is that?
so true.....that is exactly our philosphy too

trading him isnt going to happen....but using him as a decoy is ridiculous

I know.. I was just being dramatic to get my point across.

If we didn't have the sandlot element in our scheme we'd have no offense at all and Dez provides that.

realistically we should try and use Dez like the Falcons do with Julio, asking this coach and team to use him like an Antonio Brown is impossible.

I'm fine with Julio but I love how Denver uses Demaryius Thomas...

I think Dez and Demaryius are similar.

I'm not going to ever believe Jason would go full Julio/Antonio and just spam passes to Dez. That's not realistic with Garrett.

I'll post what I posted in the other thread.

Trade him.

Don't waste our money on a 200,000 dollar car when the roof has leaks and the foundation is caving in.
Come on really? Total overreaction

If that's the case for the car (Dez), what team would want him if it's that broken down?
