What type of logic is this… It doesn’t cost me anything to watch, nor would I ever be caught in a Dak jersey, even if I got it for free.
As with any good inequitable class structure it does not rely on the lower class to remain compliant. It's very existence ensures compliance. For every over inflated inequitable class structure there will be an underlying layer of poverty that facilitates. 40 million dollars worth of "wealth" does not just appear out of thin air. It is typically created at the expense of others. Ultra rich do not exist without ultra poor. It is a symbiotic relationship.

Im not sure if this was already posted, but don’t expect anything, other than Dak trying to get the highest QB contract when he tried to negotiate his next contract. This was basically his words on Lamar Jackson.

This is basically the same exact thing when Zeke got his contract and Dak said he isn’t taking a “home” discount. Of course his logic was sound in regards to the NFL getting more revenue with gambling, meaning teams don’t really lose money, but this guy actually thinks he’s that good..

A lot of people are upset because Dak and his contract hold their favorite team back from winning a championship.
But it’s not. It’s been proven that it’s not. But many view this fanbase as dumb and there’s a portion of it that consistently proves them right.

dak is like jerry lol , make the maximum amount of money # 1 priority, then 2nd win a SB, or maybe I should say get in playoffs is # 1 , then win division, win in playoffs,
then the rest is a big maybe.

Dak's ability and skill at the QB position is what's holding the Cowboys back, not his contract.
I’ve seen plenty of QBs worse than Dak win a Super Bowl.

What I haven’t seen is a QB that requires a team to carry him win a Super Bowl while making money like he’s elite.

Dak’s cap hit needs to be about 10% of our total cap if that.

Isn’t that what his cap hit is? Wasn’t it less than 10 percent last year?

You've also seen those QBs step up and make plays when needed. Even if they are overall worse than Dak they still made important plays to help their teams advance.

Dak crumbles and fails when everything isn't going perfect around him.

We could win with Dak's cap hit, but we'll never win with Dak's skills.

I am not aware of many QBs, who stated PUBLICLY a season before his first contract negotiations after his rookie contract had even started, that he wasn’t taking a “hometown” discount. They generally say things like, “when the times comes, we will deal with it then and I want to end my career here as a (insert team here)”.
So you’re not even talking about what you posted? You’re now referencing something from 4 years ago?

The OP is about Dak supporting Jalen’s contract. Any QB would support another QB getting market value deal, literally every QB asked about another guys deal has said this.

If you aren’t trying to talk about this message then why post it? Why not post the stuff from 4 years ago that you just alluded to?

At least stand on a real point, Dak saying this about Jalen’s deal is as normal as it comes.

I don’t have an issue with criticizing Dak, but why be disingenuous or just plain obtuse?

Every single player in the league when asked about another players deal will champion him getting market value. It’s a code amongst players and many have said as much. Criticize his play I get it, but to be up in arms over run of the mill offseason talk is really what grinds this forum to a halt.

Also, don’t try to finesse people. Post the whole quote. He has a personal relationship with Jalen dating back to college recruiting, why would he not support a buddy getting market value?

“Yeah, congratulations and I’m proud of him,” Prescott said. “I hosted Jalen on a visit way back at Mississippi State years ago and I’m a fan of the guy and the way he plays the game.

Not a fan of his team and when they have success … but a fan of him and the way that he approaches it."

To think Dak only wants money is hilarious lol. There are some extremes on both sides, but 99% of NFL players want to be paid market value and want that for their peers. Shocking right?

Next time your job asks you about the rates for your position please let them know you want to work for a discounted salary and don’t want to make anyone think you care about income.

10%?

By the time the season starts he won’t even be in the top ten paid QB’s.

You’re making a three year old argument.

Ya, the extra 1.5% is just crushing us.

He proved a point that he couldn’t win it on his rookie deal.

Major red flag in comparison to other QBs around his skill set who are either jag vets or on rookie contracts when they win a title.

If you can’t win it on the rookie deal you likely won’t win it on the bet deal and he’s proven that.
