Love both, Romo was a wizard back there...but its Dak. Dak is just as accurate, and as he develops he is in control of the game just like Romo was at the end of his career. He is also much more durable.

Romo was insanely smart, and Dak is reaching that level.

Broccoli or green beans?

Either would be left over on the plate if the steak was too big.

By steak, I mean someone like Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman.

Until Dak starts on a winning Super Bowl team, he is grouped with Romo among the "others" in the 3rd tier of very good quarterbacks that didn't win anything.

1st tier:

Roger Staubach
Troy Aikman

2nd tier

Don Meredith
Danny White
Craig Morton

3rd tier

Eddie Lebaron
Tony Romo
Dak Prescott

No tier:

Chad Hutchinson
Steve Pelluer
Quincy Carter
Gary Hogeboom

Used merchandise with previous "wear and tear" tier

Andy Dalton
Matt Cassel
Drew Bledsoe
Vinnie Testaverde
Backup One Hit Wonders:

Clint Longley
Jason Garrett
Cooper Rush

A friend of mine asked me my thoughts on this subject. I asked a few friends and was a bit surprised by their reaponses. So I figured I’d ask the board. Who is the better QB?
Dak. Not even close.

When it's all said and done, Dakota will hold the title as the Career Passing Leader in Franchise History of the Dallas Cowboys. **Tony Romo is currently #1 in Passing Yards, Completions, TD's. If Dak continues at his current pace, he will surpass Romo in those categories, in far fewer games / attempts. **Also, Dak currently has a much better INT Percentage than Romo; In 156 games Romo threw 117 INT's., Dak has thrown only 73 INT's in 113 games thus far. Dak is currently 2nd. All-time to the great Roger Staubach in rushing yards by QB. **The hope is for the Cowboys to go deep in the playoffs this year, if it happens, Dak will have gotten further than Romo could have ever dreamed of. Just imagine if Dak could lead this team to a Super Bowl ?? Oh, what fun it will be to watch the masses that hate this team, get sick to their stomachs lol. And even better, it would be quite entertaining to see the reaction of the Cowboys fans that "stand ten toes deep" in their belief that Dak can't win a Super Bowl lol..

Okay? He throws how many of those a game?

He has a higher completion percentage than Romo- but sure/ don’t let the math fool you in any way
Once again, completion % doesnt tell you the whole story when it comes to accuracy.

Is Dak a more accurate passer than Aaron Rodgers?

This is pretty easy Dak Prescott is it better all around quarterback than Romo

Romo was in love with his arm and throwing the ball to the point where it hurt us he couldn't run past the line of scrimmage he couldn't stay healthy.

Dak gives us a far more versatile option that weighs risk and reward better he's not a gambler and a gunslinger he uses everything in his skill set to try and win if he has to run the ball he can put his head down and do it and move the chains and still get back up and lead the team.

You don't have to cover your eyes every time he gets tackled because he's not in shape to be tackled by NFL players.

Beyond that he's a great leader he's liked by his teammates he's not vacationing acting the fool before big games he takes his craft seriously the guy even has a football field in his yard to practice on.

Tony Romo was a lot of wasted potential that didn't take his opportunity serious enough until his body was shot.
Dak is serious about his craft and has been throughout his career using everything in his skill set to try and win.

I hear you my brother .

Romo stats are not even comparable with Daks completion percentage interception percentage.
Dak has 28 rushing touchdowns in his career so far Romo has five
Dak has over 1,800 rushing yards Romo has like 600.

Another important statistic in my mind is DAk has rushed for 150. 1st Downs in his career where Romo only ran for 50.
This shows daks willingness to sacrifice his body and do what's necessary to move the chains where Romo rarely ran past the line of scrimmage concentrating on scrambling around in the pocket trying to pass at all costs

When Dak reaches the amount of games that Romo has played he will have more passing yards more touchdowns and less interceptions.

If all goes well Dak still has some good years left if he keeps playing at the pace he is and is able to win a super bowl at the end of his career he could be in the conversation as a Hall of Fame candidate
Certainly a lot of things would have to go right for this to happen but he still seems to have good health and is playing at the top of his game so it is not an impossibility

You mean his last full year of being starting quarterback?
2012 he had Tyron and Free
2013 he had Tyron, Free and Fredrick
2014 he had Tyron, Free, Fredrick and Martin

so starting in 2012 he had good OL. by 2014 he had a really good OL. be it that he got injured in 2015 and then in 2016, is irrelevant. that just means Romo was injury prone at that point. couldn't stay healthy.

prior to the earlier in his career, he may not have had the same quality OL, but he had good OL.

the cupboard wasn't empty, people make it out to be as if he played with a college OL. he didn't.

I love the logic some of you are using.

2014 Romo rating 146.6. ("Romo chokes in the playoffs")

2022 Prescott rating 63.6. ("It's everyone but Dak's fault")

My goodness....
