Myles Garrett disappeared as much as Parsons to end the season..

Just got burnt out by the do nothing off season.

Now we just made Dak the highest paid player in NFL history for being a good regular season QB.
This front office is not serious about post season success.

No lies here. Jerry was gonna make sure no one else would be referred to as “highest paid NFL player ever” for the next 7 months.

Jordan Love going down probably saved Jerry 12-15 million as Dak flinched a bit so I guess there’s that.

Yea, I get Dak isnt elite and over hyped and paid , etc but he’s a formidable franchise QB compared to some of the other middle tiers.

Dak is elite......until the pressure builds in the playoffs. Paying him 60M a year after the way he played against GB is nothing more than a hedge against mediocrity in the regular season. There is no super bowl path here.

Yea but if he’d done it in March before any of these other over paid franchise middle tier QB’s were paid 50 mil +, Jethro would have been grilled for paying him 60 after playoff debacle .

Waiting until final moment played in his favor publicly if he was intent on resigning him. He couldn’t wait any longer cause it would have caused damage in relationship with Dak who would have just waited out FA.

I hear ya. But that’s not Jethro’s initial priority. He’d rather be what we are than starting over and the uncertainty which comes with that looking for another QB. Much like most teams.

It takes too much effort for an old part time GM to begin rebuilding looking for another Franchise QB and all of the certainty that comes with that.

He’s content with a QB that can win enough to take him to the playoffs regardless if he might not be enough for more.

Oh I agree completely. Jerry was not ever going to let 7 months of “highest paid player ever” not have his name attached to it. He just got lucky Love went down and he saved a little by dumb luck. Like when they landed Parsons on accident.

There was a reason he didn’t spend in FA. Last minute just guaranteed no one could one up him for 7 months, he needed to make sure there was enough set aside to make it happen. We need a counter for “highest paid player ever” media mentions for the next 7 months.

That’s Jerry’s flex bc he knows he’s never winning another SB. Further shows how little he had to do with the 90s SB rosters besides cutting checks. Sad old man.

are you saying that Prescott was supposed to throw for 400m yards and Aikman and riger threw for big time yards every game? do you need me to point out that that's not a fact? hey what was needed to win this game they got up early they set the tone.. you know when a game one where there was no preseason game for the starters....?? curious you want us to show how ugly some of troy and rogers games really were stat wise? i mean troy was a jag compared to actual stars at qb in this league stat wise.. i'm curious of what you're trying to say because i'll go point it out../
