Please provide some semblance of reason or stats to show me different. Romo is a great QB. Ive always said that and ive always loved Romo. However. If you listen to the defense speak about Dak, if you listen to Dez speak about Dak, heck if you even listen to Witten talk about Dak. Its night and day different then when they spoke of Romo. Im just saying what i see. Not like im making it up.
I know you weren't addressing me. But I disagree, if you mean during the career.
The defensive players fell all over themselves praising Romo....all the way back to Darren Woodson.

But if you mean very 1st year...not 1st year starting...you're easily right.
Right out of the gate, Dak has been great and has had lots of admirers.

Doesn't matter either way.
Just glad we have Dak.

Just why why why does it always have to be. Romo vs dak think. Why? Let's be so grateful for Romo and be so excited for Dak ..Why why still try to compare the two? It's not fair. ( This is not for the person who im responded too , sorry for that. Im just talking in general )

Dak learned on the Job and led us to a great season --Dak did more than ever expected of him last year !!!

That's great. But why must it be discussed in a thread that says Dak rated higher than Romo blah, blah. That's my only point

And as great as Dak and he was. Please please let's not forget he had more help and more support than any other rookie QB I can ever remember having. So let's just enjoy him and enjoy our future. No need to compare him to anyone because right now it's hard to because of what I just mentioned

I am a huge Romo fan but this ranking is unfair to Dak. Getting too much credit for a small body of work sets the stage for overhyped expectations

I recall someone being awarded the Nobel Peace prize before they ever stepped in office and actually earn it, ( even though they had previously been spotted walking on water).

I :laugh:ed.

True but that goes with being the Dallas Cowboys QB. High expectations will be thrown out there. Dak will either show he is mentally tough enough to handle the heat of being America's Team QB or he won't. I have been a Cowboys fan for a long, long time and expecting fair treatment for Dak well that is not going to happen.

same reason many Dallas QB have been compared and held to the standard of Roger and Troy. I agree it is unfair but it goes with the territory. For Dak I would love nothing more than for him to smash all Cowboy records and win 3 or 4 SB. Myself I think highly of Romo and grateful to see him play in Dallas and really wish a few things would have fallen his way just as I did with Danny White whom had it really rough following in the foot steps of Roger talk about a hard act to follow.

Im not saying he didn't have praise. Im saying the team seems to believe in Dak more than Romo. He commands the huddle better. Thats just my personal opinion from what I have seen. Lets not forget we are talking about a kid who also led a HORRIBLE Mississippi team to being one of the top in the country. He is a leader. Period. Romo had questions most of his career about his leadership ability. Havent heard that ONCE about Dak.

Who were the people questioning Romo's leadership? It wasn't teammates. It was stupid media personalities.

I'm not sure how you can know much about how either commanded the huddle. We have some sound bites of Romo's years, but next to nothing on Dak.

Love Dak but that shouldn't have been the case. Both are GREAT people for whatever reason ppl love Dak and hate Tony. We're blessed to have had both

Dak had a higher QBR this season than Romo has ever had in any season. Romo's highest QBR came in 2014, but he was up there in age and that may have held him back in voting.

Dez was legit on the sidelines saying "Dak for President" before Romo even left the team. They just bought into whatever Dak was doing or saying. IT was quite apparent on the field. Im not saying Romo wasnt a good leader. Im saying Dak has the ability to become a much better field general than Romo was. Thats all man.
