One is already a scapegoat, the other may soon follow.

Scapegoats make fans feel better, but they don't address the real problems. They only perpetuate them.

I get & agree with the overall point of your posts but I don't think it's accurate to use the term "scapegoats". Moving on from a player because you've seen their limitations and feel you need to go a different direction is just performance evaluation which every player faces.

I guess I thought you weren't a Dak over Dallas fan. My mistake.

After seeing how you acted when Rush was the QB and how you don't care that Dak leads the NFL in INTS despite missing 5 games I guess I judged you wrong.

Did you did you not post Dak stats while he was hurt and we were winning with Cooper Rush anytime someone suggested that Rush was playing well?

I'm not, I'm a Cowboys fan, and you sir are a flat out liar, You deny that you predicted Cowboys would be 500 or less and your reasons was Dak. When Rush was QB no I did not post stats since the only stat was the Tampa Bay game in which Dak was hurt and frankly did not play well. I did however show after a couple of weeks once Dak returned how the offense was picking up the pace how they were moving from the bottom spot in areas like 3rd down conversions and redzone offense. Rush did a good job but areas that he and this offense struggled with were 3rd downs and redzone efficiency which are very critical areas.

Dak's contract guarantees he will be given two more seasons. Debating it is useless.

Exactly. The contract has & will always be the problem. Another early playoff exit & it is time to move on but you can't because you have to pay for the lunacy of what you signed.

I'm a liar?

In the thread "If Cooper Rush beats the Eagles" you posted:

Dak Prescott 7-3 has a passer rating of 96.2 with 2,410 yards, 16 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 10 games versus the Eagles in his career.

What's the point other than to prop up Dak while we were 4-0 at the time with Cooper Rush playing?

Go on though, tell us more about how you never tried to prop up Dak while Rush was playing and how you loved that we were winning with Rush.

I fully supported Rush and was happy he and this team went out and won games. Any idiot could see that this offense was not moving the ball and having a hard time scoring and dealing with penalties only made it tougher on offense. Dak return was saw the improvement that I have mentioned.
Again you were the one claiming we would not win this season and the reason was Dak, so keep on skipping over that fact

I'm comparing him to Derek Carr who I think is in the same range as Dak talentwise he was benched and is going to be gone after this season, this is Carr's 9th season. Dak in his 7th season threw the same amount of INTs as Carr this season in 5 less games. I'm not saying get rid of Dak now but if he doesn't win this playoffs or the next two it's time to move on. He'll be 30 next summer no team really keeps a QB for 15-20 years that doesn't win it just doesn't happen. At some point you have to show you can win a Super Bowl, that is the entire point of the game not regular season wins or TDs.

Dak has guaranteed one more year due to his contract. The next year after that is basically also guaranteed because he is due 29 million in base salary that year and he is probably as good as you can ever get for the 29 million. He has this year and 2 more to show us what he has got. Lets go Dak get er done. No more pooping your pants when it matters the most like last year.

This is true but it's safe to say 2023 is the final year he will be under the current contract as structured. In other words, 2023 is the final year of any guaranteed money on his contract. I can say with a 100% confidence there is no way in hell Dak will play 2024 ( and beyond ) with NEW guaranteed money. Noticed how much the dead cap decreases and cap hit increases prior to the 2024 season.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-...gned a 4,average annual salary of $40,000,000.

They can as long as Dak was the QB so they can give him all the credit and slob that knob.

BS, Dak is the QB and you bet I support him and this team. Guess what I was a Cowboys fan long before Dak became the QB and will be after his career is over with. I have supported Meredith, Morton, Staubach, White, Aikman, Romo and Dak. I have believed in each of them and in the end some have made it and won big and others have not. Currently Dak is the man behind center and yes I believe in him and this team.

Funny thing even guys like Pelluer and Qunicy Carter while I did not feel they were capable of leading their teams I never spent time bad mouthing them

You just called me a liar though when I clearly was not lying though. Are you going to skip over that?

We won't win anything this season and Dak's inconsistency will be a big reason for it. They don't throw parades for winning in the regular season.

You sound hurt that I mentioned some facts. Oh, I see, you want Dak gone as of......yesterday. Aww, too bad, Dak is here to stay for more than 2 years. Will you be ok?

Considering that's what I said in my OP yes I'm fine.

You sit there and accuse people of being Dak over Dallas fans yet the only person who is constantly attacking the QB is you. No one was pulling against Rush. I did not lie you flat out told me before the season how I would change my tune about Dak after this team failed and went on about how we would be 500 or less.

I literally provided proof.

I have nothing else to say if you can't just own it.

You won’t convince the Daksters. You also are kinda ignoring the front office. The front office has made
it evident that they value playoff appearances in the same way as other franchises value Super Bowls. The current fan base seems to agree. Making the playoffs equates to season success. Roughly half the teams in the league qualify for the playoffs now.

It’s pretty likely that the Cowboys extend Dak this offseason, even if they do not succeed in the playoffs. Many of the fans here feel that Dak has already proven himself as a championship level QB (since there is such a thing as Trent Dilfer).

I disagree with the standards that are set by many of the Cowboys’ fans on this website. If they are relatively pleased by zero postseason success, but good regular season success and will not basically shut the TV off and stop following the Cowboys then this will likely be the result (probably for our lifetimes).

There has never been a better chance of the Cowboys getting to the NFCCG than this season in the past 27 years. Let’s hope they can break through that and the SB too.

I own it you would rather see Dallas lose than Dak win anything. Plain and simple. So you can go on with your fake Dak over Dallas non sense.
Then prove that I've said that.

I proved that you said what I claimed you said.

Now it's your turn.

Unfortunately, this sight does not allow us to go back and repost things from the start of the season. If you're not man enough to admit it that is on you, but I know what you told me.

Dak is getting two more years because his contract dictates it. He can’t be cut until after the 2024 season and he has a no trade clause. So yeah.
