Dak has a minor fracture in his thumb. Romo had a compression fracture in his vertebrae. Nothing remotely similar between the 2 situations!

I'm a Dak guy. Cooper is not a better talent than Dak but right now he is the better QB. Dak has not been the same guy since the ankle. A lack of confidence, indecisiveness which causes sacks as he holds the ball too long. He needs to start playing ball like he did his first 4 years. I would wager he is also trying too hard to play up to his contract. He needs to think less and ball more.

He had a compression fracture in his back and was beat up. He was at the end of his career. Once we got late into the season it made no sense for him to come back because Dak was playing outstanding football and we were winning games. Romo would’ve been very rusty not having played most of the season. We ended up winning a franchise record 11 straight games. No team makes a change at QB when they’re on that kind of a roll.

While I agree that they blew it.. I will always believe it was because they didn't give themselves a chance to find out if Romo still had "it." He gave us a chance to go to OT but our defense couldn’t make a play with the game on the line. After Green Bay kicked the field goal there was no time left. Romo would have never brought us back in the game. Anytime we got behind by two scores with him in the playoffs it led to a debacle. He would lose his poise and start throwing the ball up for grabs which would lead to multiple turnovers.

You don't see defenses as bad as GB's that year in the playoffs very often. Atlanta the following week almost matched Dallas' score in the first half.

I don't think the defense was good enough to win a Super Bowl that year, but it was a pretty weak year and neither of the 2 teams that made the Super Bowl that year had a great defense.

They did get down 21-3 due in part to a 3 & out, which isn't good for any defense, especially theirs. The game within the game changes in those circumstances.

Dak's pick later in the game was a situation where Hyde knew the tendency and jumped it. It's not like he was perfect and it was a back and forth scoring game. They were in a hole playing catch up. That team was built to get up on the bad teams and stick with the good ones via running clock and resting the suspect defense. If they couldn't, it wasn't pretty.

But as we hear from Dak's guys, you could win with that defense. They went 13-3.

He bobbled a hold in a playoff game against Seattle that cost us the game. He had something like 5 turnovers in two season finale elimination games that were like playoff games. It was almost like he was jinxed. By 2016 it was time to move on to another QB.
