Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

It’s a lie because we all know an All Pro Line ain’t crap without viable threats to catch balls. You, him and others are crying and *****ing about the pass game, but he claims to prefer a run oriented team with average pass catchers. That’s bs. And furthermore, Dez ain’t been a pro bowl wr since 2014. So that’s a bunch of bogus bs.
You're wrong. He made the Pro bowl in '16. He was an All-Pro in 2014. Out of curiosity, what is your excuse for Dak for failing to throw the ball to open receivers in the Carolina game (or for some of the bad throws he did when he made them). Dez isn't here any more because he's a headache who didn't fit into what Dak's strengths were. Not because he can't play.

Romo did feel the need to do everything himself in those games when he choked. He grew out of that and became a great QB, but his body was no longer able to take the pounding anymore. Dak has a below average group of WRs and no playmaking TEs. Dak is really hurting the team at this point because he is not able to complete many passes which would cause the defense to stop stacking the box with defenders that are keying in on stopping Zeke. At this point, Dallas needs a great , young QB prospect drafted and they need to obtain a better WR corp. they have a great oline that is still young and they will only get better in the years to come. Without drafting a QB, they are not going to improve very much at all and all the high picks spent on the line will be wasted if they don’t draft the playmakers needed to take advantage of the line that they have built. The only bright spot on the team at this point is the defense. Without some offensive help, the defense will be wasted.
The only way for this to happen is for Dak to suck badly. I'd rather just seem him succeed and save the pick for an upgrade at WR or TE.

You really should stop the bs. You only say that because Romo didn’t play and you can place your own fairytale in the end and say we would’ve won it all with Romo Christ as the quarterback. I call BS
Wow. You really have some serious hate for the man. The reason why he's got a big job in the booth is because he was a cerebral QB and is personable. The guy will always be one of my faves. I like Dak and hope that one day when he hangs 'em up I'll feel the same way about him.

Which is why you are full of crap. He’s your fave so you’ll lie through your teeth to put him on a pedestal. BTW. I was a Romo supporter. But he made too many mistakes at crucial times to be placed into Sainthood. I’m just being realistic. Dak In year 3 is further along than Romo in year 3. Case closed. Now let’s sup our quarterback and see what the future holds n

More stupidity. Dez was a pro bowler in 2016 only as an alternate because Julio Jones wasn’t playing. Dez had 50 receptions for 796 yards. Is that pro bowl receiver numbers? Hell NO! Now all of a sudden Dez is All World when it helps you defend Romo Christ. LMAO :lmao:
And yea. Dak made some bad throws vs Carolina. Some his fault. Some due to defensive pressure. I’m sure it happens to every quarterback in every game. You just single Dak our because you don’t like him. He hurt your feelings by replacing Romo the Boy Blunder.

I have no idea if the Cowboys would have won it all with Romo as QB that year. I doubt it because he tended to be snakebit, but I did know that we had no chance the moment they decided to go with a rookie QB. Maybe if the rookie QB beat out the vet in a competition the rookie would have been the better option, but they refused to allow one because they knew how it would have turned out.

You turned out to be right. So did the fans who boldly claimed the Cowboys would not and could not win with Tony Romo. Turns out you were both right.

That's your opinion. You try to bully your way thinking that your efforts will cut Dak extra slack, but he doesn't need it. He just needs to get better at understanding the pro game. He's a hard worker and I think he'll get there, but he's had a long way to go from what he was running in college to what he's supposed to be doing in the NFL. A lot of things broke his way in 2016. A lot didn't at the end of 2017, but none of this matters. If he can't run antyhing except RPO, he's gone. I gaurantee you that Romo understood what he was doing in year three even though he was doing it behind Bledsoe. Right now, Dak is still a work-in-progress waiting to flip the switch when it comes to running pro-style offenses.

Because of Garrett and Stephen, we'll never know for sure.

You are crazy. That vet was damaged goods. One hit away from a wheelchair. I’m glad Romo retired when he did. I would’ve been hurt to see him carted off like Irvin but in worse condition.

 There isn’t a “we’ll never know for sure” about it. Romo is gone and we didn’t win with him. They were right unless Romo comes back and proves them wrong.

That's one outlook. But because we got the tease in the Philly game, we saw #9 playing like he was in his prime. As it wasn't Romo's decision, he doesn't have to prove anything. They made the call and they will be second guessed by a lot of folks for it.

16/25 for 160, that's a 64% completion rate and 6.4 yards par pass...which is bad onto it self......one play was for 64...which is good, but that means he was 15/24 for 96 yards.....and a paltry 4 yards per pass attempt.... that's ugly. really ugly... that means that teams don't respect the deep or medium throws and willing to gamble...yes they gave up a 64 TD pass, but that's one play....

one thing that was evident again last night, in the second half TD drive, he was setting his feet and making the throws...they were on target and had zip....then he was ugly footwork again for a lot of the other throws....
Here is my answer..

we will explain this the old country way with a parable.

One night the wife and I had dinner with friends.

We got pretty hammered.

We got frisky in the car going home and she did her best to get me going.

We get upstairs and things went great except I was too high to successfully launch.

Groan.

So we go to sleep.

Next morning..she gets what she needed.

The moral of the story?

If you wait..

maybe things will change.

Wait for DAK.

He knows he can be better and will.

This guy has wanted to be a Cowboy his whole life.

More than Staubach..

More than Aikman.

I believe in him and this team does, too.

And although nobody is asking..

I feel the same about Garrett.

Loyal to a fault and makes mistakes but his head and heart are right there.

Despite all the rhetoric about nobody would work for Jerry becuz of his supposed meddling..

really most would love to coach here and be part of the Cowboys history.

You’re right he doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone. But the people who claimed we would never ever win with Romo are correct until proven otherwise. Hypotheticals don’t make them wrong.

Stay out of grown folks’ business
If you were worth anymore of my time I'd link to the dozens and dozens of posts blaming the line, the receivers, the coaching....

But you're not so keep on with your blind agenda. Son.

Nah QB isn't the least of our problems but I understand some of y'all rooting for Dak super hard. Your hyperbole doesn't confuse me nobody said he needs to be in his prime and if they did address them not me. He just going backwards as a QB regardless of what some stats may say when he should be getting better.

Dal is going backwards? LOL

Now there is an educated theory.

I guess Zeke is going backwards too eh?

So how did Dak win 11 games in a row and go 13-3 as a rookie?

Kinda flies in the face of your little theory.

I was reading the story and half way through I had to put the Vaseline bottle away...so that was disappointing

with that said I want to be a cowboy all my life. nothing wrong with that. I don't deny him. he may not have it in him to be a cowboy. he knows he has to get better. his first year it was obvious he needed to be better in throwing the ball, better mechanics, etc. its the 3rd year and he hasn't progressed, not only that it seems he has regressed. his first year he was going through his reads, now, he stares down his receivers. I like dak. he is an awesome guy. he has an awesome story, I don' hate him. I want and would like him to succeed, but based on 2 years and 2 games, he is not there and he has regressed. he has 14 more games, but given recent trend, its not looking good.

with that said...we have a fairly easy 3 game schedule. he can gain his confidence and get better mechanics. if he doesn't the rest of the season will be very rough.

I hope for the sake of all cowboys fans, he does turn it around
