That's what makes this next game so interesting. If they get out played again that makes 3 straight and I think you can say at that point they are playing their worst football of the season.
Dallas led the Skins the entire game. They weren't outplayed by any objective observer...oh forgot who I was responding to. Carry on.

So how many games is a trend? Just so I know for future reference because that is 12% of the season
2 games is 2 games. Doesnt matter if its a 2 game season or a 200 game season.

The Vikings defense at their house is prob top 2 in NFL.

Oh yeah, we won. Sometimes I think people forget..

We won and the reason it was close was not because of Dak. I think somebody showed 4 drives stopped because of penalty and 2 because of turnover and QB strips happen to every QB every year, it is inevitible. This team without penalties or turnovers will more than likely go at least 14-2 and maybe 15-1 and get homefield advantage and barring a defensive meltdown will make it to the NFC title game or the Superbowl.

Witten did not have a catch and Beasley had 2. This team needs more than that from those 2 to have a successful run in the postseason.

in 2014 season Romo had 6 games where he passed less than 220 yards and yet it was one of his most successful seasons. No one was hollering for him to be benched or claiming teams had figured him out. Only thing that happened was Dallas was playing as a team not putting the entire game on his back and expecting him to win. Dak is a big part of the success of this team but success is not measured in yardage or big passing game it is based on winning. Dallas has gone into tough places where those home teams had very good records and Dallas won. This despite not having a great dominating defense.

For those concerned about 300 yard games? in 2014 Romo had 1 game of 300 plus yards Dak has 2 games of 300 plus this season with 4 games left.

I know. Never seen so many people so hungry for a loss. Some of them are even calling wins losses now.

Wow!!! God help us if we actually do lose to the Giants. I'm not even going to log on.

On CZ or somewhere else? Because I'd challenge you to find a quote where some are calling wins losses. Let's not exaggerate to make a point. lol

The Cowboy's last 4 opponents are 9-3 in their last 4 games where they didn't play the Cowboys. Two of them are 3-1 in their last 4 games, the Cowboy game being their only loss.

The Ravens are ranked #1 over the past 4 games in point differential, the difference between their score and their opponents. Pittsburgh is ranked #4, the Commanders #12.

Tampa Bay is ranked #2, the Giants #11, the Lions #6. Again, this is their last 4 games.

What this means is that the Cowboys have been playing teams that have been playing their best football of the season.....and beating them.

Enough about the recent low yields on personal stats, they mean nothing more than the quality of the teams they have been recently up against, and it's not getting any easier.

Without penalties or turnovers? Is this a real comment?

He's done well, never said he didn't . But in the playoffs we'll need more. That is all I'm saying. He has regressed the last couple games. It's a valid question being asked. If he was hot right no one would be nervous. But many are asking if he's hit a rookie wall. It's interesting cause you have one of the best pure passers on the bench right now. So I ask myself if Dak struggles for another game or 2 do we put in Romo and take this offense to another whole lvl or just stick with Dak regardless of his sub 200 yard games?

Would it make you feel better to know that through 12 games, the 2014 season had more sub 200 passing yard performances than the 2016 season has thus far? (Weeden 1, Romo 2). And the 2014 team went 1-3 when they passed for less than 200 yds.

Yep I don't have the statistical research tools to verify which plays were actually scramble versus a run/pass option. How do you know 5 were a run/pass option?

I didn't say five were a run/pass option. I said at least five were definitely called runs. A sixth was a run/pass option on the goal line.

In general though it does not matter because he ran 3.3 times per game in the first 10 games and 7 times per game in the last 2 so the basis in my argument does not change because I do not believe the coaching staff is calling more run plays

Oh, really? You didn't even bother to figure out how many called runs there were because you "do not believe" we called more run plays. That's priceless.

I'm sorry, was that too obvious for you. Not every team can win because they have low penalties and very few turnovers. We are so efficient, that if we do not have many penalties and don't turn the ball over, our defense, as bad as they are at times, still does not lose the game for us.

The browns would be leading their division without penalties or turnovers.

Lmao what? Every pass in Seattle two years ago was in a tight window.
He had a good day, looking over his body of work that has t been the case which is why he has the rep he has for being a gun slinger. He has learned but so will Dakota.

Romo is one of the best in the business at throwing into tight windows and throwing guys open. Not sure what you've been watching there.
Throwing guys open yes tight windows no, we can go back and forth on that one all day and neither will convince the other otherwise without film and I have nothing but memories.

His body of work - really...... Number 5th all time in passer rating, 1st in 4th quarter comebacks. Top 10 all time in td to int ratio.

His body of work is Elite

Well they can't be mad at wins, but they are. Airman wasn't a 300 yard a game passer every weekbut he seems to do just fine, oh yeah he had Emmitt. That's why Dakota has Zeke so he doesn't have to be a 300 yard passer either, the formula works just some people have agendas to not like anything this team does. Even though they're fans.

Exactly. This thread is about passing yards and 38% of Dak's passing yardage against the Vikings came on one play with a blown coverage where Dez didn't have a DB within 5 yards.

Pointing that out isn't crapping on Dak, its a fact and its perfectly valid to look at the stats with that kind of context in mind.

Not a blown play. Dak audibled based on the look. He exploited them.

Dak has plenty of frustrating moments which one may expect from a rookie. He also makes heady plays more than most vets and there are more than a few really special touch passes to offset the plain-terrible misses. I'll stick with him or a couple of years I think.
