Another favorite theme - cherry picking games over an entire career with stupid observations that don't deserve comment but since it's that last time--

Yeah - I'm really sure of that and that 50-year-old QB was 36 who could never hack it as more than a backup. That post sums it up. A such incredibly poor 7th grade responses that exposes the 5%ers.

I waiting for the liar, liar, pants on fire debate.

How is this cherry picking? You said 4-12 for the most part without Romo. Romo won ONE game in 2010. The backup won 5 or 6. Then Dak comes in this year, and in one year he makes it as far as Romo ever did in 10 years. Some people just dont like facts I guess.

LOL -- I'm confident that "loverboy" image won't hurt his image one iota. I think his effervescent personality is also virtually a lock to endear him to many millions of intrigued viewers, imho.
But he does have the Latino background that TV producers and NFL execs love

the best thing for him - he is an was on the down side - I think he would have gotten hurt again this year

so he can walk for maybe ten years

that golf is not helping him either

Hope he can stay healthy too, but I'm afraid you may be right, he isn't going to be able to resist golfing in the off season or off weeks...

Would be great if he gets so good he wins a PGA turny...that would not a bad transition to another sport.

Candice is probably his best decision in hindsight, compared to the other celebrities he was tied to, she will probably be able to coach him on his TV presence...Her brother can also coach him being that he is an actor...Tony was laying the ground work early for this :lmao2:

I'm selfishly happy that Romo might not ever wear another uniform. If he comes back I want it to be as a Cowboy. If that drive against Philly was the last time he ever takes the field, I'm glad it was a glorious one in which he wasn't touched by the defense and threw a TD pass. Number 9 will always have a special place in my heart.

This isn't logical. I'm not buying it. You don't just walk away from $14m to take a $1-2m job, which is about what USA Today reported the top NFL analysts were making a few years ago. Who knows, maybe they blew him away with a $5m offer. That's still chump change. What's more, the CBS (or any other network) job will be there in 2018 and beyond. There's no evident motivating factor here that would support these new reports being accurate.

There's at least some other shoe out there left to be dropped that we don't yet know about. Has to be.

Again - I would never enter a debate about this stuff with you guys because it makes you look silly but are you serious?

You saying that Kitna was Romo's equal because he won 5 games? 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in the 9 games he started for the Cowboys, compiling a 4-5 record and a career high 88.9 passer rating in the process. THAT"S your answer? Really?

Kitna was so good he was replaced by third-stringer McGee in the season finale against the Eagles. Yet this is the guy you cart out to show the world that it was Romo's fault we didn't win. Yeah, Kitna was going to take us to the playoffs, Division wins, Championship games and a Super Bowl - all because he won 5 games one season.

In your words - screw that and screw these ridicules comparisons - yet in a way, it exposes the thought process. In fact, I'm pretty sure most on the boards would just say let it go - being dragged down to the gutter with this kind of stuff is a waste of tme.

Oh well was hoping someone would throw a pick to the Cowboys and Romo would get one last shot.
Probably right decision for him in the end.

Smarter businessman than he ever was a QB.
Trying to run the ball on third and long in a meaningless preseason game ended his career, and was consistent with crucial decisions he made his entire career.
Not trying to piss on his departure, there is always a place in my heart for all Cowboys of Romos tenure, but I'm pretty sick of the Romo Legacy love fest.
Aikman won 3, but fans hate on him because of teaming up with the Buck, and being non bias... lol
Aikman put rings on the fingers,,, that's the Champion.

Stupid post is stupid.

Walking away is the key term....... if he goes for the 14m he might not walk away.....he has made over 128m in his career and getting 2-3m to talk on Sundays instead of getting planted is a good deal

BTW - I would be remiss if I didn't say I do not include UFC in the 5%ers. He was no fan of Tony, but he wasn't blinded by an irrational hate that I believe is personal among the others and we would have good debates. The others usually consist of a one or two sentence cheap shot.

Why would he not walk away? Are we going hyperbole on his health where if he's breathed on, his spinal cord will explode?
