Good luck Tony, thanks for the last 10 years! I never got all the hate, Romo was the only reason this team was even relevant for the last decade.
can this retirement (if it does happen) be made against the cap 6/1 or do we absorb whole hit now this year?

Some of these are laughably bad.
looks like we retain his rights, which is hugeIt's gonna be a June 1 designation
And he cashed the checks. We pissed away his entire career.
tnxIt's gonna be a June 1 designation
Really? Jerry is catching crap from you because he didn't know back when he made that comment that Tony was going to retire on April 4, 2017???But but but..Jerry said he had 5 years left and it's not a damn debate.
This goes to show what an absolute ******* idiot of all idiots Jerry Jones has become.
Cowboys fans that say they hated him are either too young to remember the QB drought betweem Aikman and Romo or they have some sort of brain damage.....the dude gave 100%.Good luck Tony, thanks for the last 10 years! I never got all the hate, Romo was the only reason this team was even relevant for the last decade.
No Romo.......lolTony, I love you. You will be missed.
Thanks for those 2 wildcard playoffs wins in a decade. I was tired of winning so much. That's probably the feeling a Patriots fan feels.
Being part of the younger generation of Cowboys fans, I didn't witness the glory days of the 70s and the 90s. I wasn't alive during the former era and I was just a child during the latter era so I don't remember much of the Triplets and the three Super Bowls. I was merely a 16-year old teenager when Tony came into the game against the Giants in 2006. Despite throwing an interception on his first pass, he managed to display something special that night that would last for the next 10 years. Tony easily became my favorite Cowboys player that season and he brought an excitement to the Cowboys that hadn't been seen since the 90s.
He wasn't perfect and he made his fair share of mistakes, but man I loved watching this guy play. He represented the Dallas Cowboys organization with class on and off the field and in my opinion was one of the fiercest and toughest warriors in the NFL. It's a damn same that Jerry built this great offensive line just a little too late for Tony to benefit from and possibly win a Super Bowl. I know many fans don't like him, that includes other fanbases and of course are own Cowboys fans, but I loved both Tony Romo as a player and as the great man he is. He didn't deserve nearly the hate he had and still currently absorbs and it kills me that Tony never was able to win the Lombardi Trophy.
Cheers to you, Tony. I pray that you enjoy your retirement, kick butt in the broadcast booth and I anxiously await the day your name goes up in the Ring of Honor. Will miss you #9
lol I was talking about his whole career here. Led his team to 2 wild card wins. Pathetic. I'm just glad the drama is almost over.
