Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo Set To Retire

Not sure about that. If what they said publicly is accurate, then they weren't considering him strongly any ways.

I have a feeling this QB class will get stronger play than everyone led on.

If that's the case, Houston continues to bungle the position of quarterback. As they have since the Texans entered the league. Everything they've done at that spot has been wrong.

It's funny ... good morning football on NFL network are saying retirement and retaining his rights .. saying no way are the cowboys releasing him as some reports indicate (Archer) :.. meanwhile on Mike and Mike it shows Cowboys to release Tony Romo today across the bottom (hmm deja vu ESPN ) yet mike and mike are talking about him retiring .. all speculation until confirmed .. been down this road of misinformation and half truths before .. I will believe it when I see it .. only time will tell ..
No one officially has denied it as well no one has confirmed either

Agreed. The media has been in a hurry to scoop this story all offseason-- and have been wrong multiple times.

This may be a calculated leak to get Houston (or another team) to blink. Regardless-- if he retires and we retain his rights-- I am happy.

Was hoping to see Romo win one, or atleast play again. Still don't think we have seen the last of him, he's just following Favre's footsteps

I wished it would have ended differently, but glad that he's walking away vs. carted away.

Today's the first day of the rest of your life.

Im sad. Mostly because my wife (a Packers fan) called it 2 minutes after Romo was hurt in the seahawks game...

If true, I believe Romo has calculated a much faster time schedule for returning to the NFL than Favre in my opinion.

I would hope he is not that much of an attention seeking drama queen.

He'll have more time to work on his golf game. Tony will be great in the broadcast booth, he's a natural.

The stakes just got higher. All this means is a clear signal to the other 31 teams that there will be no release of Tony Romo; as everyone was expecting.

And Tony now has the latitude to talk to all teams as of yesterday per the Cowboys.

Pony up now NFL. Time is almost up.
