Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo Set To Retire

Right move if true, although I don't think it is.

I have my doubts as well.

Two things are for sure.

1. There will be no release of Tony Romo. No one is getting him for free.

2. Tony will retire unless someone makes a serious offer on the Cowboys and his terms.

So we'll see what happens the next 24 hrs.

One of my all time favorite Cowboys, and a great guy. This is admittedly what I wanted, for two reasons. I didn't want to see him in another jersey, and I didn't want him to risk his body anymore for the sake of being there for those beautiful kids of his.

So yesterday Jerry says teams can give him a physical and today he retires? If true that is very strange timing.

Hypothetical : God forbid if Dak gets seriously injured in TC or preseason. Does Tony come back for one more run? Or is there not enough Goodwill remaining with the coaches / team to come back?

It's a ploy.

100% agree. If they release him, he will be in Denver or Houston within 3 weeks and Jerry will look like a fool. They better have a deal with him that they won't make him pay back the money and he doesn't unretire. They need to just let him retire and keep his rights. They might end up needing him or being able to work a trade if another team has an injury. Romo will be easily talked out of retirement. Jerry needs to make sure that if he unretires, it's because Dak got hurt and we need him.

For the last time...He's not a hater. He is just so afaird of being bias that he over compensates to the point he has a phobia. Now, you can do what ever you want with buck....That's why they invented the Mute button right there.

Yeah, and Troy goes right along with him.

So, they both lose their personal honesty regarding the Cowboys, choosing not to be real, not to be who they are.

I hope that Tony doesn't succumb to media BS, and is able to just play to his personality, knowledge, and sense of humor -- a little more like Dandy Don than Troy.

Based on his interviews and what people have told me who know him personally, I actually don't think he will be good at all.

He's a more quiet, introverted person. That's not good for national media.

Could be true. It takes more than knowledge of the game to be good at it. Montana has terrible.
