We pissed away his entire career.
He did play a lousy bunch of golf this weekend. Maybe he felt after that some doubt that he could do another training camp.
As for the Schefter tweet, that is kind of a duh one. Of course he would be that. So was Aikman. He was flirting with the idea of playing with the Eagles and Chargers for a while.
If Dak goes down this year I expect Romo to put down the headset and come back for his chance to ride I to the sunset with a ring.
Sports is like life, the good guys don't always win.
It doesn't affect anything the Cowboys are going to do. Not sure why everyone is so fixated on thisGood. The drama can end.
Good luck and thanks Tony. Now most importantly how does it affect the cap?

You honestly think, mid-season, that Tony would quit a lead broadcasting job, leave the network hanging, and then hop back on the field on his 3rd year removed from sustained football? Come on...If Dak goes down this year I expect Romo to put down the headset and come back for his chance to ride I to the sunset with a ring.

I didnt take Romo for a quitter. A little disappointing.

Retiring isn't going to force their hand into releasing him, so yes it is strange. Not strange at all. Tony doesn't want to be traded. He wants to be released. This is nothing more than a tit for tat move. If Jerry actually releases him, he will be on a roster within a few weeks. I hope Jerry doesn't buy it or has an arrangement with Romo.
If Tony actually quit mid-season, leaving a network hanging (which I can't see him ever doing), his time doing either would likely be at an end.To make a run at a title? Yes, I do.
The broadcasting thing can happen any time. You only have so much time to play in the NFL.

I guess we need to cut Witten also. That guy has only gotten us 2 wildcard wins...and Sean Lee...that loser hasn't done anything for us... Tyron Smith...dude is cashing huge paychecks and hasn't won us crap...Dez Bryant? Nah.. trade his sorry but to the patriots for Chris Hogan...lol I was talking about his whole career here. Led his team to 2 wild card wins. Pathetic. I'm just glad the drama is almost over.

Based on his interviews and what people have told me who know him personally, I actually don't think he will be good at all.
He's a more quiet, introverted person. That's not good for national media.
