Dez doesn't have 56TDs over the last 3 year. He has 41TDs which is still the most, but 56TDs is for his entire 5 year career.

But you have to admit it is easier than ever to get production from rookie WRs. There were like 10 rookies that contributed heavily last year. TWilliams had 11 TDs last year and most don't consider him to be a star.

Randall Cobb, DThomas, MCrabtree and a few others like MWallace and PHarvin may be available as FAs. They may not be Dez, but they don't have to be if we get running the ball so much.

Dez didn't impact the playoff games very much. He is a star and a vocal leader, but everyone is replaceable, except Romo.

I thought that Tom Condon was Dez's agent and Roc Nation was doing the marketing? We have people bashing Dez without even knowing the details of the offer but until someone puts out the numbers of the contract offer it's all just speculation at this point.

Well said. We as fans literally know nothing about the negotiations. Just that a contract was offered back in October, Dez fired his agent and there hasn't been talk since. That's it.

I'm well aware of the setup. It's no accident that the negotiations have stalled and Condon is part of the problem just as Roc Nation is. Both stand to profit by what they're doing. I don't consider it bashing Dez at all. Just stating the truth as I see it. Dez needs to be careful who he associates himself with before the advice he's getting ruins his career. I don't want to see that happen any more than anyone else. Faulty advice has hurt many a player's career and no Cowboys fan should ever want to see that.

I agree it is speculation I do have concerns about Roc Nation and it's influence in this matter. I expect Dallas to pay him handsomely and based on all I have seen from this franchise under Jones he will make a more than fair offer. Now what is Dez and his people wanting? There is a limit to what Dallas can and should go even with Dez. As for what the offense will do? I don't know I do know our ability to run the ball is a big help what we may get from others within the passing game would not be as much without Dez. Again, until you know the terms you cant know if he's getting bad advice. We dont know if Dez is asking for Megatron money or if the Cowboys are offering very little guaranteed money. If he's asking for Megatron money then he's getting questionable advice but if the Cowboys are low balling the guaranteed money the hes getting good advice.
